Since none of the options achieved 50%, we're going to have a runoff here. However, the second option will be "no changes" since I've had quite a few people tell me that the 8-team playoff is completely unacceptable.

Also, I feel that any option we implement must be more popular than the status quo. So, how do you vote?

(this will simply be a post-vote poll, since we don't want non-baseball simleaguers voting).

I vote for 5 teams, with the two wild card teams playing a three game series to determine which one makes it to the next round. Kind of like the NCAA's 64th and 65th teams in the basketball tourney.

I second Cat's vote. I originally voted for the 8 team playoff, but in examining some of the teams that would make it, I decided against that. The 5 team playoffs with the two WC's playing each other first sounds like the best option.

    Cat, raven... just to clarify.

here you can only vote for or against the 8-team playoff (16 teams overall, I guess).

If this fails, then we'll move to a different option. If none recieve a majority, then no changes will be implemented.

I vote AGAINST the 16 team playoffs.

In the other poll, I voted for the extra wild card team, as TheCat and Raven have suggested.

Againt the 16 team playoff, for the 12 team playoff.

Sorry about that. I vote against. 16 teams is way too many... there are barely more than that many GM's in the league. The playoffs shouldn't be a default thing... it should be some form of an achievement.

Against. I don't think sub- .500 teams should be making the playoffs on a regular basis.

I vote against. I agree with Cat's point of how there aren't that many more than 16 gm's in the league. I also do like the 12 team idea though.

i don't think 16 teams is the answer but i would rather see some type of change rather than no change. If i had to vote for something I would vote for the extra wild card teams. I also think we should have a revote from the poll choices and do it this way. It seems fishy that so many people say they don't want the 8 teams playoff yet it was out in front of the voting. It looks like maybe some of the non league posters voted in the poll.
