The show was pretty good...It's no 24, but what other show is...

The Coogs didn't make the playoffs, but I suspect it'll be back next year...

I love DH, he take on gays in Football.. "That's ok, that leaves more ladies for the rest of us"...Classic...

Hell Manny, what do you think wrestling is? The plots, the acting, and who's with who. That is a soap opera. By the way, Stacey Keibler is the ****, she is the best looking most real one on there.

Is there a link to confirm this, if so how are we supposed to know how it turns out? I thought it was a hit series, at least that is what every commecial for the damn show says.

    It was a "hit series."

Relative to its time slot and the fact that it was on cable, it won over the 18-34 male demographic and saw ratings for that time slot more than double than prior to its airing.

Basically, for a cable show, it was a hit.

I don't know if I expect a return though. What story lines are left? They stuffed everything in the first season.

And Omar Gooding deserves an Emmy. His portrayal of D.H. was outstanding!

    ESPN's 'Playmakers' Scores in Finale
Thu Nov 13, 2:57 AM ET
    By Andrew Wallenstein

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - ESPN's first original series, "Playmakers," finished its freshman season with its highest-rated episode since the series' premiere.

Nearly 2 million households viewed the finale Tuesday, which capped a solid showing for the football-minded series.

"Playmakers" averaged 2.2 million total viewers during its first season, with more than 1 million from ESPN's core demographic, men aged 18 to 49, tuning in each episode.

However, the potential for a second season remains shrouded in doubt amid reports that the NFL, which counts the sports network among the rights holders to its games, is displeased by the graphic depictions of illegal activities by the series' fictional characters. No decision has been made about greenlighting a second season, an ESPN spokeswoman said.

Eh, let me clarify..."guys" and "soap operas" don't go together UNLESS it is because they want to check out the babes on the show!:D

That's what happens when you use up all the storylines in one season.

So they haven't totally ruled it out, OK.
