Anybody else watch this? The homosexuality twist was good at first, but now it seems like the entire show is being focused around it. Maybe it was just for this episode now that Guerwitz is gone, but we'll see.
Todays episode was great. I think he will be back, once the team starts losing theyll demand the owner to bring him back. Im really starting to hate DH first he got the big dude suspended now the gay dude all because of his drug problem. With Snoop Dogg in the next episode it probaly will be a good watch also. This show is alright from what Ive seen.
Good show. Entertaining at the very least. If I was that gay guy, I would turn straight because of that chick of his. She's a hottie.
If their fictional league is anything like the NFL, then you can't come back once you are put on Injured Reserve.
Um, no. Seeing the blasted commercials on ESPN every 5 f*cking seconds is enough for me to know that show is crap. "Are you a fairy?" with dramatic music reaching a climax in the background... When I heard that cheesy line, I nearly spit up my breakfast!
lol. i thought that was funny too. from the expression on the owner's (gm or whatever he was), it looked like he should have said, "soooo... ummm... what did you have for breakfast this morning?" when he asked if he was a fairy, the football player should have said, "no... actually i'm an elf" and then pulled off a mask (like mission impossible) or unzipped his skin (like in that osbourne pepsi commercial) revealing his true self... an elf. that would have kicked arse. i should have been a writer.
naa.. .. .. if he pulled off his skin . . .he should have been Will Farrel in that Elf costume Rocket River
This show is great! Last night's episode was so gripping. I loved seeing the various reactions of Thad's teammates as to having a homosexual on the team. That practice was just plain wrong. And since when was a $4 million signing bonus a huge deal in sports? I know its the NFL and not the NBA (where contracts are guaranteed), but I thought a 4-year, $12 million deal was chump change these days.
It's not illegal. Television shows aired on cable can use profanity, they just choose not to to pamper to commercial endorsers.
That's because radio stations and cable television are different. Radio stations are accessible for free by the masses, while cable is a paid service, which provides it with more liberties. The reason HBO, Showtime, etc. liberally depict sex, drugs, violence, and curse words is b/c they don't have to pamper to commercial endorsers. There are no commercials. They have free reign to air whatever they want. Cable programming could do the same thing, but most businesses don't want to put their commercials on during controversial shows that would use curse words (for fear of driving away potential family-oriented customers)
Oops, didn't finish. Radio is different because everyone and anyone has access, including children, 24 hours a day. Thus standards must be VERY tight and strict on content aired over the radio medium.
Wow. That one is news to me. I've never seen that show, or any show on network TV use profanity. I got nothin' on that one.
