You just said it yourself. Two former 20 points per game scorers & one a 3-time All Star added at the PG spot. When you see previous years' PG was Rafer and THAT IT, its more understandable seeing how poor the position really was and why people would want another guy getting playing time there, especially one with good potential. There will always be people talking Brooks up but it'll be more understandable if he doesnt play (I hope). Also win-now mode is just as much the theme this year as it was with Van Gundy so players better be contributing if they're gonna play.
John Lucas did better in the Summer League than AB. The Hype we are putting around a late first round "Rookie" is ridiculous. Sure, I like the guy but lets be realistic. Give him time..... It is very unfair to compare him to Francis BTW or think he will jack Steve's minutes. That ain't gonna happen...
That is so cool that you know Adelman and that he told you that Brooks if is favorite. I remember all this talk last year about Bullard Lite and how he was going to contribute, win rookie of the year, etc. Layoff already. I don't see a thing that Brooks brings to the team that JLIII doesn't already bring. And we can't seem to give him away.
