By far the worst team in the playoffs. And by making the playoffs, they hurt their draft position. This whole team is in trouble. Next year they have LaFrenz back... I don't know how much it will help them though, surely an upgrade over Mark Blount.

Who would they trade him for? I'd take him on the Rockets if we don't have to trade Steve for him and he's willing to play second fiddle.

Not for nothing, but Pierce isn't exactly a premier player anymore. His shooting percentage is dropping like crazy. Chucky Atkins has outplayed him this series.

He has picked up a lot of bad habits.

yeah but if people can still call Steve Francis young and full of potential, then the same analysis should extend to pierce. when he was good, he was a DEADLY shooter from all distances. we need some better shooters on the team definitely. Pierce not a slouch on the boards either... only problem I have is the suspect handles.

Pierce? I'd send MoT and Cat for PP and Waltah. Wouldn't you?

    what did you expect?

we're talking about a team that won 36 games this season, matched up against the only 60 win team in the nba.

p.p.'s turnover numbers makes SF3 look like jason kidd

Talk about someone who needs, desperately needs, a change of scenery.

    Paul Pierce, selfish loser.

    He makes Kobe look good.

Pierce has the talent, but he's always been a selfish loser. He showed everyone what he was in the Worlds, and I have been rolling my eyes at all these people who have called him a franchise or worse yet top 5 player since then.

I fell in love with Pierce about two-three years ago, when he dropped 47 in the second half of a Nets game. Since then... Everyone felt Walker was holding him back but now it seems Pierce isn't that IT player, kinda like Carter right now (T-Mac isn't on that list unless he hits lottery again and again). It would be best for Ainge to trade him and try to get the Tim Duncan pick that got away.

    DreamMachine34,

Sorry to say that's not as simple as you believed.

The Celtics Management not only traded Walker to Dallas, but also swopped 2-3 decent role players who're the ones former coach D.Rivers much relied on. That mainly cause Rivers felt unsatisfied with GM and abdicated his office. All of those stupid decisions really hurt them. So it's unfair to only riticize Pierce... bla... He should only burden what he have to shoulder, imo.

Perhaps you mean Philly's new coach, Jim O'Brien? Otherwise you are correct.
