Hey, anyone have a line on either a very cheap or freeware event calendar in PHP? I'd like to put a gig listing on my bands' websites so that anyone on there could update them without my assistance. :)

I've tried a bunch doing a Google search but they all have the same problem: the focus is on the calendar itself and not the event list. I don't want to display a calendar on the site. I just want a list of gigs in order of date on a page. They don't even need to be linked to a different page. Just something like:

    ----

    Friday, August 13, 2004
Yo Mama's House w/Johnny and the Mothers

Event information (i.e. text and links) goes here.

    ----

Just like that in a list format. I found a great free news module as well as a terrific maillist module, but the calendar thing is tough.

    Any suggestions?

    <a href="http://freshmeat.net/search/?q=PHP+calendar&section=projects&Go.x=0&Go.y=0">Freshmeat's listing of PHP Calendars</a>

    Perhaps <a href="http://freshmeat.net/projects/event_calendar/">Event Calendar</a> is what you're looking for.

    He doesn't do PHP. :D

Thanks, Vengenance. I hadn't seen that site before. I like the one you suggested too. I'll see if I can get it working. :)

Some are free and others have a small fee.

    Perhaps this one........

    <a HREF="http://showlister.sourceforge.net/">Showlister</a>

A site that seems to be using at least some of the Showlister script.
