Okay. If there's one part of my team that I'm happy with, it's my starting pitchers. Even without mighty Pedro, my staff kicks butt. Kerry Wood is a stud. Burkett and Mays are solid top 15 guys and AJ Burnett has been absolutely unbelievable (I can't believe I offered Burnett <u>and</u> Olerud for Ichiro; man, what a mistake that would have been.. I bet Nemers is kicking himself for not accepting that one). Plus, Moyer is as solid as you can get with the Mariners and although Smoltz isn't quite all the way back, you can still depend on him for 3 out of 4 quality starts, and he's getting better with every game. Finally, Ponson is young and is pitching great. His numbers will skyrocket if he gets traded to a contender as the rumours suggest. Anyway, my starting pitching rocks and everybody knows it, so I'm putting Pedro on the trading block. I won't lie - it will take a lot to get him, but I figured it's worth a shot. If there's a deal I like, I'll accept it. Ordinarily, I wouldn't even think of trading Pedro, but my other starting pitchers put me in a position to at least consider it. So come with your best offers! You'll have to include at least 2 or 3 top guys to have a chance (unless a top ten replacement SP is also part of the deal).
