Yes it is, but you need Adobe Acrobat Professional to do it. AKA as a "Writer". It should be listed in the help topic of the writer version.

I have Adobe Professional 7.0 . I typed in "writer" in the Help index and nothing showed up.

Do I need to download a separate program called Adobe Writer?

    I've edited text before.

I went to download.com and typed in PDF editor. I downloaded a 30 day trial called Nitro PDF. pretty good program.

use the text touch up tool.

it doesn't work great for large scale edits because it doesn't keep paragraphs in tact, it break them into lines, but for correcting a word or two it works great.

You can also just edit it in Photoshop one page at a time and then compile it to a PDF again... isn't like editing a word document, but it is better then doing it all over from sratch.

If you have the full version of the PDF program. What you ahve to do is convert it to an editable PDF then you can change anything you want on it. Of course if you do not have the correct fonts and stuff for the PDF then it will come out wierd looking and not like the original.

You basically have to create a new form then tell it the file you want to use as the template. That way it will import it into Adobe Designer and you can go from there.

Besides the TEXT touch-up tool, you can also add a box on top of the text you don't want to see, or select it and delete it, and add text on top of where the previous one was. It could also be that you don't have access to the document for being protected against editing.
    -----------------------
