The Hornets want to save money so you give them Expirings and picks. Maybe Hill, Budinger? We'd just need to take back a little extra NOLA salary.
Trade for Paul and Okafor: Brooks, Battier, Cbud, future 1st round and 2nd draft picks Trade for Bosh: Hill, Jeffries, Anderson, Taylor, future 1st and 2nd round draft picks Lowry/filler KMart/filler Ariza/filler Bosh/Scola Yao/Okafor hey... it can happen...
Well they saved a lot of money when they made that deal with OKC. But I think you're right though... I still think the owner would like to cut additional costs if he can. IMO, they need to try and send out Posey. I just fear we would have to give up a big part of our core to get CP3 and take on Okafor. We're looking at $26 Mil together with both of those guys. Battier, Jeffries, and Anderson's expiring contracts equals close to $17Mil.... So can you picture what else you would have to send out?
I'd do that deal in a New York minute and roll into the season with that lineup. I'd love the Rockets' chances. That would be enough to take the edge off of losing Paul for the Hornets, too. They'd still be good, although their tickets sales and fan support probably would take a hit.
anderson will not be part of the trade, if indded it happens...Anderson, WOULDNT make it in the D-League. I would rather play four then let him set foot off the bench. He shoots ok, but he doesnt play defense, if i didnt know any better, i swear he was a below average NBA IQ.

#1, if NO is open to moving Paul or he forces it, you go all in. Paul is a franchise PG, a true game changer. #2, I don't think NO would necessarily want a PG in return. Part of the reason they would consider moving Paul is the fact that they have Collison. #3, I think this might be where we would have to use Hill or Scola along with expirings and the NY picks to get this done. #4, I do think we have enough chips that we could potentially get this done and still have something to do a sign and trade for Bosh (which now would focus on Brooks + something). Would be tricky and Bosh would really have to be bought in, but could work. Imagine... Paul Martin Budinger / Ariza Bosh Yao That really becomes a sick combination that complements each other very very nicely. That is a 60 win team.
NO wants to dump Okafor's $11.5 million salary along with Paul's salary, and they want back mostly expirings and young talent or picks. If the rumored Orlando deal was true, essentially Jameer Nelson and expirings for Paul and Okafor, but Orlando didn't want Okafor and wanted to find another team to send him to.....then it might not take that much talent to get Paul, just the necessity of taking on Okafor, who apparently does not have much of a market around the league. So Battier, Jeffries, Andersen, Hayes could conceivably get it done since they are all expirings.
That would be cool. Okafor coming back would make a SnT for Bosh very difficult UNLESS we could do something like Okafor and NYY pick and Brooks for Bosh and then do Scola and expirings and NYY pick for Paul / Okafor. Finances might get real tricky to get that combo of deals done though.
