How insulting was it for Patterson that even in garbage time, Jeffries gets on the floor before he does. Not only to Patterson, but to us fans as well, who have been waiting to see him play. i thought it was bad when they called up Damp, but this is just ridiculous.

If i recall correctly, didn't he do a good job during summer league play? Wasn't his defense up to par with the rest of the team? He was passing the ball well and shooting it well also. Jared Jeffries is a good defender, but let these young guys play, Rick!! It was good to see JT get out on the floor, but i, as well as others, would like to see what the Patman can do in his first NBA action.

There is a decent stretch of games coming up where we should expect to see him play. If he hasn't gotten in the game by the time we play NY, then i can only assume that something is going on behind the scenes that we don't know about.

The Rockets depth is what's going on. Patterson is still learning, and Adelman is trying to find combinations that work and win games. Its a long season, and he'll get his chance eventually.

Yeah, but we are talking about garbage minutes here. The game was pretty much over and i am sure we will have other games like it over the next 2 weeks. In situations like that, rookies should play.

I would like to see PP get some minutes here or there but the guy is learning and in time he will get his shot.

How long did it take Landry to get on the floor in his 1st season?

Around Feb. I believe, Rick said he was doing so good in practice he had to play him. Good decision Rick!

But PP was inactive last game, Get Yo Facts Straight!

Once d-league starts he will e down there.

Maybe the rockets are keeping him under the radar if a trade comes up.

Again, Adelman's main focus here is winning games and finding combinations that work in game situations that actually matter. He has more confidence in Hill, Hayes, and Jeffries right now than Patterson.

You're frustrated because you don't get to see Patterson's development. Understandable. But Patterson continues to develop in practice and working with their coaches. He'll eventually get playing time in the D-league, most probably. And at some point, when coach thinks he's ready, he'll get his chance.

you can not play players in inactive list.

There are only 12 players that can get into the active list every night, so if PP can not crack the 12 man rotation first, he won't be able to get on the court regardless of whether it's garbage time

When does the D-League season tip-off? It doesn't suprise me that he hasn't seen minutes in an NBA game yet, I like that they haven't thrown him in there too early. Will the Viper games be televised so we can see his development?

How is it insulting that JJ gets time over him? He is in there for his defense. I like Pat a lot. Heck he's my xbox live friend but he is a rookie and there's a ton of depth in front of him. We shouldn't just ****ing throw him in there for the hell of it.

There is zero reason for PP to be playing right now.

Seems like people always need something to complain about.

Just too many players. To be sure, they will have to start making 2-for-1 or 3-for-2 trades sooner or later, because it looks like DM will always find gems. He will put off trading his gems for less than their value as long as possible.

The Rockets would only hide somebody that was worse than people thought. They'd love it for a team to value their players as highly as they do, and maybe make a good offer.

Can only have 12 players active in a game, he wasn't one of them.

We didn't have as much depth in the front court when Carl was here. He was able to get garbage minutes because he was activated during blowouts.

Patrick has not been active for a blow out. One game when Yao is sitting out and we have other injuries will be the only time Patrick sniffs the court.

Believe me, I want to see him off that "Rookie that hasn't seen a minute" list just as much, if not more, than you do. But I want him to earn that time rather than be placed out there because of necessity.

I love Ish, but I hate that both our PGs had to go down for him to get on the court.

Who on the active list would you take off to make room for Patterson? Remember, we're trying to win games, not groom rookies. If Rick thinks P2 can help better than X, I would expect him to make the call.
