We give Griffin a hard time for not developing, however, at least Eddie will rebound and block a shot or two.

Can someone explain how a 6-9 260 pound "power forward" can grab ONE rebound in 31 minutes?

Moochie grabbed more rebounds in 14 minutes than Taylor. We knew this guy's reputation and limitations, why give him 40 million dollars? Did the Rockets have any other competition for signing him?

Just think, over the life of their contracts, Cato, Moochie and Taylor will get over 100 million dollars. Amazing!!!!

We're a good rebounding team, and can do without Griffin's rebounding more than we can do without MoT's scoring.

Griffin's shooting % is horrible and has been since he came into the league last year. Once he starts providing consistent scoring on 50% shooting, as well as registering at least 2 assists a game, he doesn't offer anything more than Mo's 50% shooting, 14pts, 4 or 5 reb, and most importantly, experience.

Griffin is not an offensive option, he's a role player and he never sees double coverage from anywhere. It's absurd the number of shots he gets off early in the game, and the assist numbers he puts up for his minutes.

Man, where do you invent these numbers? MoT hasn't shot 48% for a month this season. His highest average for a month is 10.3for pts and 4.3 for rebounds. Also, his shooting has tailed off lately. So far in March, he's shooting 43%, which is actually worse than Eddie(44%).

And finally, how can you rip Eddie for his low assist numbers when MoT averages almost exactly the same?

Wait......I started a thread about how good they were doing!!!!!

First. They have both been doing all right. Not awesome superstar performance.

    But solid.

Better than small forward position.....way too inconsistent.

Our power forwards combined for 27 points last game.
    Centers did well too.

    Forwards......well uhh..like 5 points combined?

Our main problem is defense. When we play good defense.....that usually helps our offense.

I do hope that Eddie improves his shooting over the summer and gets stronger. That would greatly help our team. Mo Taylor.....well I remember he was going crazy. Now it's more forcing shots. :(

    Griffin is a joke.

He couldn't score on his own, if he spent a week with Heidi Fleiss.

Griffin just doesn't look confident or aggressive down low. Yeah he does actually take shots down low, but the majority of them are fadeaways or tips. And not only does he not have any arch on his shot, but he barely gets off the ground when he jumps.

I heard the guys on sports 610 today saying we probably have the worst combination of forwards in the league. Man thats cold, they are probably right too. Imagine teams like Denver and Chicago have better power and small forwards then us.

Juwan Howard would be a great addition to the Rockets, I bet.

Howard for Griffin, Taylor and Cato....

I don't even know if this works numbers-wise, but Howard is pretty young and a good PF @ the very least -- sure he makes a lot of money, but with Taylor being shipped would it make it close?

    Francis
    SG
Boki (or would be play the two'?)
    Howard
    Yao

Howard's $20m comes off the Nuggets cap this summer and he is a restricted FA. They intend to re-sign him for market value (probably around 3 years @ $18-$20m.

The Nuggets have deliberately cleared all contracts (like McDyess) to get to the point where they could be major players in the FA market this summer. Why on earth would they tie up 1/2 their available cap space for Taylor (4 more years) and Cato (3 more years)? The Nuggets aren't a Rockets farm team.

Boy, there is some serious BBall talk in this thread.

    Let's see there's:

    * a Heidi Fleiss reference, which totally invalidates the post since she's a nobody

    * we've discovered that, though Griffin is a legit shot-blocker and leaper, he has no vertical

    * Griffin should go to China to get better eventhough Yao came to the US to better his game

    * the Rocks should trade both PFs & break up their 2-headed monster at C for an average, older PF

I bet most of ya'll have a direct line to Rudy, kinda like the 'Red Phone' in the White House don'tcha?!

    Warning, Warning,

Man Wink Fan, You must have not seen how I got blasted for pointing out Mo Taylor's ineffectiveness as a passer, you better be carefull around here.

Seriously, Mo Taylor is what he is, a scorer, an average scorer, who when he's hot, a good scorer. Everything else about his game is either average or below. He was absolutely getting lit up by Portlands backup Zach Randolph, that's for all those who claimed he was good defensively. I
