Stupid question, but could a bunch of friends get on the same table together and have an advantage. Because obviously everbody would know each other's hands and cards. Seems like an easy way to win money unless their is a protection against it somehow.
Yeah, collusion can be a problem with online poker. But, you have nothing to worry about when you play tournaments because you get seated at random tables and moved around throughout the tournaments. Also, unless you are playing on the high stakes tables I wouldn't worry too much about players teaming up against you. They wouldn't be interested in playing small stakes poker and would stick to the $5-10 tables and above. If you do suspect players of collusion you can send a complaint to partypoker and they will monitor those players in the future.
On a side note, I know there are probably many better players out there then me, some even right here on the BBS. however, since I AM a regular winner at PartyPoker high stake tables, I'm willing to give advice if anyone is interested. HOpefully, more people can be winners and all contribute a bit to Clutch. (which I will do very soon)
I blow at poker, but I haven't really played all that much. I play the occassional hand at Yahoo, but that's pretty much it. I would gladly accept any advice you have to offer.
SUcking at play poker means nothing cause every bum will play any hand their dealt. The best advice I can give to people starting out into playing for money is to play less hands. Often people thinkg that if they get a K or an Ace, they have to play the hand. Having the dicipline to fold is if very important.
Check out this site guys if you're just starting out. It contains some good strategy for low limit hold'em play. http://www.lowlimitholdem.com/
Good advice. Every time I go to the casino to play I write, "folding is free" on the inside of my left hand so I see it every time I look at my cards.
