I am not sure if there was a thread on it, but this is a really funny show. It got canceled recently, and I think it got like 74000 viewers, but the writing and acting was top notch.

If it wasn't on freaking starz it might have survived.

I didn't even know Starz (when I had that channel) had their own shows. It's such a shame, since with that kind of setting the writers had almost free reign to come up with any story they wanted. Ron almost becoming a p*rn star was hilarious.

Starz put out Spartacus, which was a huge hit.

There was another thread for this show, but unfortunately this one is probably already longer. :(

Really was a great show. Very well written, acted and frequently hilarious. Too bad it was canceled but also not at all surprised since no one watched it and a few of the actors have gone on to bigger things.

I like Party Down. It probably would've gotten more viewers if it were on HBO or Showtime.

I watched all of it about 3 months ago blazed off my ass.

Definitely sad there were only 2 seasons.

    Love Martin Starr.

It's a funny show, written broadly but tightly scripted.

Everyone can identify with the failed actor's cynicism in giving up on his goals, and moving on. Everyone can identify with his opposite, the comedienne, still struggling to get by. The episode where she says, after watching his old performance, "Oh, you were really good," was moving (possibly because that's what we all want to hear).

Plus, Lizzy Caplan = Lizzy Caplan. The sine qua non of current Hollywood starlet objectification.

The 1st season was awesome, 2nd season was meh. About half-way through I could tell the show was gonna get cancelled.

The character Jane Lynch played was hilarious and the lady they got to replace her was turrible, just turrible.

I know she's supposed to be rough around the edges, with that jaded "acerbic twenty-something" and "funny but f**kable waitress" demeanor, but I don't see the appeal of Lizzy Kaplan. Surely this is purely subjective, but she reminds me of my older cousins. Middle-of-the-road-hot-but-thinks-she's-cute, smart-ass, passive-aggresive femininity.

I really love all the characters except her. Especially Roman.

Pics, their best outtakes from True Blood Season 1, or GTFO.
    Don't mess with the Chief.

Onion AV: "The Party Down Reunion Just Got Moved to Children's Hospital"
[rquoter]We’ve now had Lizzy Caplan paired off with both Adam Scott and Martin Starr in upcoming movies, but no more half-measures: This season’s Childrens Hospital will come as close as anyone’s gotten to reuniting the cast of Party Down with an episode titled, fittingly, “Party Down.” As creator Rob Corddry tells Entertainment Weekly, the story will concern Malin Akerman’s Valerie throwing a years-late bar mitzvah for Ken Marino’s Glenn, a catered event that will just happen to bring Marino back in contact with Caplan, Starr, and Ryan Hansen, all of whom Splitsider is reporting will make appearances.

And of course, fellow Party Down co-star Megan Mullally is already on the show, playing the mother to Caplan’s character. So it’s missing only Scott to make it complete—and considering he’s already stumped for the show on Twitter, he’s obviously a big fan. If Scott somehow skipped out on doing this, his professing his love for the show will just seem needlessly cruel.[/rquoter]
If any of y'all are sleeping on Children's Hospital on Cartoon Network, don't. It's the evolutionary next step of Party Down, The State/Stella, & The Daily Show. Last week, special guest star TV's Nick Offerman was nearly stabbed to death by a gang of criminally insane children. Appointment DVR material.

I realize she is hot. I see it too. I'm saying her personality turns me off. I'll STFI thanks.

    Love every character except her.

    I've seen Children's Hospital about 3-4 times.

Its like what Scrubs could have been instead of just repeating itself every episode for 9 seasons.
