Parsons wish we had both instead of Morris.

I've seen both play and I do not think Leonard is better than Parsons on defense. I think both are on their way to being elite defenders. Both players are outstanding.

And if you look at what Chandler cost the Rockets, he looks even better. Not necessarily better than Leonard, but a far better value. I'd love to have both.

Parsons is a Rocket, and Leonard is a Spur... Debate solved. Parsons it is.

In order for their SF position locked up at Shane Battier's level for the next decade. :)

If by the bolded part you mean that of two players totally UNLIKELY to become elite scorers (and you did say ELITE), Leonard has a slightly better chance (~5%) than Parsons (~3%), then we're good here.

However, if you honestly think that Leonard has a legitimately decent shot at being an elite scorer, I think you need to see a psychiatrist.

Neither guy will ever be an elite scorer. Good scorer? Sure, why not? But elite? Nope.

    LOL

Morey would have probably kept Kawhi Leonard in the D-League

The Spurs are a different organization, that can actually develop their young talent.. not hinder them

Parsons will be way better than Battier,if he keeps on working hard. On offense,he is better than Battier already. He is not a primarily one dimensional player like Battier.

    Didn't read did you?

Having both would have likely meant one doesn't get pt. In that scenario, parsons is likely cut being a second rounder his contract wasn't garaunteed like Leonard's would have been.

Cod stated playing Leonard at the 2 and parsons at the 3 but with lee and Martin he'd be buried until perhaps February, when Martin was injured.

Didn't parsons play overseas for a yr? If so, he should be better than leonard right now. Long term, I like leonard more. Time will tell going forward. The fact the spurs gave up hill to draft him tells me how much they think of the guy.

Correct on that last part. Especially when they were close to dealing TP...and they dealt his backup who was on the cusp of breaking out.

Parsons played 3 games overseas. The NBA lockout didn't last that long. Also Parsons is more skilled right now too. And he doesn't have 3 all-stars to make him look good in a limited role.

According to this board, lowry is as good as parker and martin is as good as manu. The fact that he's playing under more pressure because of the spurs expectation. I don't have a problem, I just prefer leonard.

Morey should always draft in the 2nd round.

Leonard sure looked good tonight, hit some very clutch baskets, Durant was not to be denied tonight. Parsons had a very strong year too, so to me its too early to call. Both teams should be happy with their player.

I don't see much of a difference between the two. For example, if the Rockets had taken Parsons at 14 instead of Morris, I wouldn't be wondering why the Rockets passed on Leonard right now.

And in all my years on clutchfans, you are the first person to use CF opinions to judge players. I don't know what you're trying to say. That the 2+million posts in GARM is the way we should judge NBA players?
