I've notice that Padgett was on DNP and watching Weatherspoon played for the first time in Rockets uniform against the Pacers. I've noticed that Weathrspoon is less effective on the floor than having Scott playing end to end of the court. I think Scott has more talent and skills on PF spot and Scott has great shooting skills. I was kind of worried on the last 2 minutes of the game after Yao and Mo fouled out. I really think that Weatherspoon's prime is over and he definitely needs to go.

weatherspoon is just a bunch of blob. i have no idea why jeff put him in when yao fouled out at a crucial time. yeah, they needed a body, but weatherspoon?

Weatherspoon's supposed to be a decent defender. But I am surprised that JVG didn't go with Padgett in a crucial game since Padgett's proven himself thus far more than Weatherspoon.

    Yes, bring Padgett back. Please....

Weatherspoon should only be used for foul situations.

I liked what he did putting in boki over pike, but this move is just dumb in my opinion, I don't think that someone like spoon can just come in and get minutes, boki has been here for a season and a half, and all I've heard is that he hustles and deserves to play more, which I agree, but spoon is a player who has no business in the court, I would rather have boki, or even padgett on the floor before spoon but hell, I'm no coach, that's just my opinion.

Check the scoreboard. Check the standings. We are all free to disagree, but 'just dumb'? That I cannot and do not and will not buy.

If I were JVG,I would make the same decision:put Weatherspoon on the court (not Padgett). Under that situation,we were in dire need of D.He made me reassurance than Padgett did.

chill. i wouldnt have wanted padgett gaurding harrington either. spoon albeit undersized, is still a decent-good post defender. padgett is a good sharpshooter that can stretch defenses. big difference when you are up with 47 secs left to go.

youre contradicting yourself. if there is ONE good thing about weatherspoon it is his size. "blob" haha yeah ok now that were out of middle school lets come to the realization that not everyone is cut like david robinson. still doesnt mean that weatherspoon is not a strong big body mofo. sure he could trim up. but again your getting sidetracked. JVG had a strategy that required a big body for defense instead of going small and trade defense for more offense.

    weatherspoon is 6'-7" 270lb
    padgett is 6'-9" 240lb

thats lengthy...so if padgett was 6'-7" he would be 220lb...a 50lb difference...defensive muscle , man....thats why JVG did what he did.

By far, Padgett has more athleticism than Weatherspoon and despite of his wide body, Padget has better mobility on the offense and defensive side. Weatherspoon should'nt be on our rosters! Straight up!!
