Would you bet your account on Floyd/Pac?

You're not really quoting Arum as a valid source are you? That's beyond sad

The only fight I'm dying to see... I either want to see a total war from both fighters or a complete ass whoopin but if it's going to be a sparring session again, I won't be buying more fights on PPV from either fighters... No more silly ring entrances as well....

I'd pay for a few fights outside of that. Martinez vs. either would be great. Same with PWill. I will go to Manny/JMM 3 because it's a great trilogy. I don't blame you though. It's very frustrating to pay $65 for these guys to give us glorified sparring sessions. I do think they fight next year though. We may get lucky and get Floyd/Ortiz later this year. Vic is vulnerable but he can punch and would make Floyd throw combos

Likewise, Manny couldn't land a decent combination as much as he tried.

That's the slick black American style at work: parry punches, duck swings, protect the head, shoulder roll, loosen the arms and let them absorb power of the punch not the legs.

    Mayweather's even better at it.

at this point, I'd prolly pay to see Floyd in a significant fight, like Martinez, if he dare make that fight. But I fear the best of pac is over. You know it's over when fighters start making excuses for poor performances.

It was the same with Calderon earlier this year, saying that he wasn't in shape to fight giovanni segura. I knew that was bs because he had to know that segura was a beast and no fighter in their right mind would take him lightly.

Then what happened? He got knocked out even sooner with no resistance.

The fact that manny is making excuses is a bad sign. He just doesn't have it anymore.

Martinez is my top p4p guy right now. I have him above Floyd and Pac.

Good points. I do know that Floyd and Ortiz is being talked about. Great payday for Vic (at least 3.5 mil) and a guy who will make Floyd work. I don't think either wants any part of Sergio. That said, if either of them could pull that off I'd put them in the top 10 p4p of all time. Martinez is a beast.

You could see Iron Boy's reflexes decling over the last few years. Segura was only known to hardcore boxing fans but he's a great fighter. Kind of like Salido against Juanma. I think he beats him next time too.

Agreed. I think manny isn't completely focused on fighting at this point.he's been getting to camp at Wild card later and later nowadays. he's certainly earned the right to do so but it doesn't bode well for fight fans. I think we may see him take his 50 million against Floyd and ride off into the sunset. He'll give what he can but it will be underwhelming to the genenral public

I'm going to assume Manny's head is not 100% focused on boxing, being a congressman and all.

    He should focus one thing.

You're right but its's hard to ask him to do that. Kid came from nothing, is living the dream and has a whole country behind him

You're an idiot! How dare you insult Manny by calling him a congressman. He is more than that.
He is a congressman AND a popstar! Get your facts right.

This us why this fight needs to happen. There are just too many factors. It's not going to be like Corrales/Floyd. Floyd has never faced anyone like Manny and like wise with Manny. When was the last time these guys looked across the ring at their opponent who happens to be the best? Never. Yes, they've both fought similar versions but nothing like each other. The only thing we really have to go off of is common opponents. With the exception of JMM, Many put on better performances, including Mosley. But of course, Floyd had the benefit of fighting them first.

The same thing about Floyd and angles can be said about Manny and his offense. How will Floyd react to the power punches he didn't see coming at unusual angles. Another thing, Manny is a southpaw. Floyd rarely fights southpaws. His pops said himself he doesn't want his son fighting southpaws. They can give him the most trouble. While most think it's going to be a cake walk for Floyd, I see the fight going either way.

Corales was exactly that. A guy who could hurt him with above average boxing. Only knock on him was he was the fact he was dealing with a jail sentence. We disagree on Mosely. I think Floyd was way more dominant against Shane. Pac was hesitant

    I do respect your opinion.
