Yo I'm hearing this isn't a title fight? Is that correct? Title or no Title, I hope it goes down.

There was some debate about it, but apparently Cotto's title will in fact be on the line for the fight.

Cotto didn't want to put his belt on the line unless they fought at 147. Which would have meant that Pac wouldn't fight. Thats too much weight for Freddie to be comfortable with.

Then again, I think Cotto knows he doesn't stand a good chance and he will in fact lose his belt to Pac. I guess he figured, if he loses but still has his belt he still has some pull to get another big fight. Without a belt and gettin beat up by Pac, no one is going to look to fight him, atleast not a big name.

Glad the title is on the line though, otherwise the fight would be pointless for Pac.

Also, if we were all betting money, I mean all of us who voted for someone to win (we all did), and the fight goes down as a tie, we'd all lose :( . There's no DRAW option! ;)

James Toney and Bernard Hopkins had very average power and speed but still managed to be two of the baddest middleweights of all time.

Not to take anything else from the other thread, but I am bumping this thread up because of what people thought BEFORE the fight... at around July or August...
My thoughts confirmed. PAC-MAN is THE MAN.
