The most athletic player in the NBA is now a FA. If DeShawn Stevenson can get a multi-year deal, there should be a team willing to sign White for the minimum. I don't think it was a case of White being unimpressive in the preseason, just the Pacers depth at the 2 and vulnerability at the 1. If nothng else, he can still be an above average perimeter defender and a Slam Dunk champion.

Being an above average peremiter defender? I don't know about that. Being a slam dunk champion however gets you real far see Harold Minor.

It's a shame, I was hopping to see him in this year's dunk contest. The guy can do a between the legs from the freaking free throw line.

He has too much potential to not be on someone's roster by the all star break. Someone will pick him up.

The Rockets are more in need of a backup big with skills than a flash with thrills.

Maybe the Rockets? We could have the three point champ (Novak), dunk champ (White), skill champ(Alston), and Allstars MVP (T-Mac or Yao) on the same team!

He's a great dunker...but does anyone else get tired of seeing all the variations on the FT line dunk? That seems to be all he does...

Nope. It still amazes me everytime he does that.

If he makes a team(which I think he will, he developed a good all-around game his final year) then he will go on to shock all casual NBA fans with his free throw line dunks. In the NBA, the misses aren't penalized so he's almost guaranteed victory.

-What if we have waived sura to cut our roster into 14 people?
-What if we have taken Jacobsen and waived sura instead?
-Even if we signed james white, would he turned out to be as good as the crippled version of sura and an high IQ sharpshooter Casey?

I do get a little tired of it.. but that's because 95% of the time they just do the simple FT dunk from way inside the line. Plus there is so much you can do with that type... not like you can do an under-the-leg 360 reverse windmill from the FT.

I think only David Blaine can do something as cool as that  :D

... or not in the league as the case may be!

That dunk was nasty; he was looking down into the net...

If we are going to pick up another wing with potential, I'd rather have Qyntel Woods. He's plenty athletic and has some NBA experience.
