    This oyster guy makes $240K to $360K a year. His job sounds like picking up money from the beach.

    During the first three months of 2008, Raso gathered more than half of the 400,000 oysters he sold during the entire year.

    Despite the recession, Raso is now selling 5,000 to 10,000 oysters per week for 60 to 90 cents each, depending on the quantity ordered.

    my god man, you live on the gulf coast, an area teeming with oysters and you have your first when visiting minnesota??? i love oysters, grew up eating them in texas but have had to curb my habit because they run about $2.50 apiece in nyc. enjoy the bounty friendo...

    I freaking love raw oysters (with some mignonette and diced shallots), but they're out while my wife is pregnant. I occasionally eat stuff that she can't (medium rare meat mainly), but I feel weird scarfing down oysters when she can't have them.

    C'est la vie. Next season...
