I'm sorry to say I have no confidence about our players to win game 5,6 or even 7, the more I expected, the more disappointed me. I tried to be optimistic, but after reviewing these past 4 games, I have to admit that Utah is really better than us, at least they have been playing their heart, the heart of champion! Sorry!

How do you compare blowing two halftime leads in the first two games, which Utah did to "playing with the heart of a champion". Did our team not show anything by blowing them out in the third quarter of game 1 and 2, and surviving their surge in the fourth quarters of those games.

Yes we lost two games in Utah, but what I cant stand is after we win two games at home, half the board is screaming a sweep is coming, now we lose two on the road, and half the board has given up all hope. This is the most evenly matched series in the playoffs and both teams have won at home.

Momentum has shifted, but this is a three game series and we have two at home. Odds are still in our favor to win the series.

    Is this an overreaction thread?

I turned my TV off after watching the first quarter of both road games. I can not stand it any more. JVG sucks, but you suck more if you waste another minute on JVG's team.

All I want is Yao and TMAC are healthy mentally and physically after the game and move on; It is just a game. you play it for fun, I watch it for fun.

    Good luck, Rockets.

6 Game Series - Utah have the Rockets figure out. Thanks CD for putting together a championship team.

I think our best bet is to give up and turn on one another. We should also break up the team, fire the coach and start over.

Because that's what all good organizations do. It's fool proof!

I agree at 2-2 it is not time to panic, but it is concerning to watch the team not compete so well in Utah.

Actually, I think most of the players played hard, but not Tmac....he was lolligagging out there, and the team will only go as far as he takes em.

Q-Rich called him out for being soft, and how he backs down from a physical challenge, that is EXACTLY what is happening in this series.

Tmac better reach down and see if he has a pair, or else it could get really ugly for the team in the next couple of games.

I still believe (THANK GOD for homecourt) but I am concerned in the team's lack of focus and effort which allowed Utah back in a series they were ready to fold up on.

Has everyone forgotten that Utah had one of the best home records this season? They were tied for 3rd best in the league (behind Dallas and Phoenix).

However, they won less than 50% on the road.

We will kill them in game 5 and (if we lose game 6) game 7.

I agree. I was getting annoyed with all those posts that claimed that the series was over after the first two games. We have been brought back to Earth after almost unwarranted over optimistism after the first two games but the series isn't over yet.

We have to play with some fire and desperation. I said we should've gone into Utah with the attitude that we were down well if we don't play like that we will be down soon..

    Jeff -

I did not advocate "Blowing up the team" or "starting from scratch" but you know well how long I've been opposed to JVG's style of coaching and against those who defend his ridiculous decision making.

I've yet to see an NBA head coach get so thoroughly outcoached DURING games that count, and when he's losing!!!

JVG is the primary reason we could not put Dallas away two years ago, and if, God forbid, we lose this series, then it will again be ON HIM for not finding a way to call out the two players who MUST step up, TMAC and RAFER.... the other starting three are doing their jobs!!!

But this Softness on "D" I cannot stomach, no matter how diplomatic you or DD try to spin things. In sports, you either have a pair of balls or you don't!!!

There is NO GRAY AREA when it comes to EFFORT!!!!

So, make excuses, don't panic... whatever. I simply see a Utah team that BADLY wants to win, and a Rockets team that has been outed as the softest team in the playoffs!!!
