I thought we brought Adelman to get more offense and get more easy looks for T-Mac and Yao. Explain to me..
First of all, you might want to add the follower five letters in your usernmae: R, E S O L. Then you will have your answer.
the problem is t-mac and yao refuse to run the offense. So two possibilities exist: 1. they hate adelman and quietly want him to fail 2. they're too dumb to change how they play to fit the system. I lean more toward 2.
it's a combination of things. t-mac can't score on his own anymore, so the solution would be for him to move without the ball and have someone create for him. thats another problem. t-mac doesn't move without the ball. in fact i don't think he likes moving period.
Bull made a point tonight. Why are we still "learning the system"? Is it that complex that we're still not getting it? Why do I hear "the second unit is running the system better than the starters"? Why is that so often the case? When does this stop being an excuse?
obviously the 2nd unit is better the same reason the lakers 2nd unit runs the triangle better than their starters. when kobe gets the ball, the triangle stops as he can take his man one on one. apparently artest and t-mac both think they can take their defenders one on one every time. unfortunately that's not the case.
what a joke, new big three for a moment, i feel shame to be rocket fan. when you up 16 again lakers, and you lost by 30? that shows rocket will never be successful with those players
Yao is not good in the high post...he just does not have the passing instincts and can not shoot the 15 footer... Tmac does not move unless he has the ball, neither does Artest.... We need a committment.....from the starters to something.....I would settle for dig it in defense. DD
our big 3 are jokes, if you rate our players: brooks landry scola artest yao hayes alston tmac (he's the worst defender, the worst shooter)
T-Mac is no longer a star, dude can't shoot open 15 ft jumpers anymore, every time he hits a shot, it's more luck than anything.
Yao used to be able to shoot the 15 footer, what happened? Another point Bull brought up, guys just don't play fundamental basketball anymore. They don't want to play in a system. They don't want to move without the ball and get easy shots. They want to take a guy one on one. It doesn't matter if it's less effective and boring as hell. These guys have become prima donnas. They won't listen to the coach and work within a designed offense and the coaches have long since stopped trying to get their message through. It's an endless rut.
I don't understand, why do we have to play Adalmen's system. We can't force the system because our starter can't handle it. When you have Yao freaking Ming, you don't put him in the high post. And Mcgrady doesn't do cuts, or running in general.
