All I have to say is that early in the season Mcgrady kept on saying that he wanted to get his big man the mvp. comeon guys, they went on the Jimmy Kimmel show together, the chinese media is going to make up this bs after two games this is ridiculous. They are good friends, mcgrady gave Yao a pep talk and got him to be aggressive, why would he do that if he didn't like Yao?

In this era of political correctness people get sent to rehab for calling someone else a ***. Very few people have the guts to actually say what they're thinking, but why is such a big deal made about Yao? BECAUSE HE'S FROM CHINA. The fact that racism isn't tolerated didn't stop several writers from making blatantly racist jokes/stereotypes as examples as to why Yao would fail circa June 2002. Why is there even a book written that Yao is a genetically engineered creation of the Chinese government?

On the other side, the Chinese people love heroes, and Yao has become one. He has come into the American domain of basketball, where the black athletes dominate with their quickness and athleticism, and now dominates the league, all the while never forgetting his homeland. Why do Chinese support Yao? Because he's Chinese, and he's a hero. Now whether they also support the Rockets or want Yao to be traded to the Lakers is a different story, and that obviously depends on the person.

However, if you think that race is not an issue, you're wrong. Race IS the reason why YOF's and YOH's exist, and when people call others YOF's or YOH's that's what they're getting at.

It is shame for those who creat rumors, and it is even worse for those who spread them. Here I see a dumbass not only spread rumors, but also stick his ass to defend them. What a creep!

Just ignore him. Liu has the intelligence of a rodent, and has yet to post anything more than complete, utter nonsense on this board. He clearly has an agenda, and everyone here is aware of it. We have learned, somewhat, to tolerate liu, who has difficulty comprehending what the rest of us discuss here on a regular basis.

What are you tying to say? I used to be a YOF but now I'm definitely a rox fun. Yao's presence leads me to be a rox fun. Yes, we care about Yao's perfermance and we want him to be the MVP, but we care the win or lose of rox's games more. The reality is that I think Yao should defer to T-Mac coz we need T-Mac to be our commander but Yao to be the most powerful weapon. Most of Chinese bball fans want Yao to be the best, but we are objective, when Yao plays not very well, we all admit the truth.

I thought you said you would shut up. Anyway, u forgot to mention there are lots of YOHs too. It's hard to believe what they would say to trash YAO. I'm telling you, these people are freaks, they don't know how to enjoy basketball. Shame on them.

Well, if T-Mac shows us he can dominate like he did in Orlando, Yao can get less shots and we will still rape the league.

Yao is more consistent at making his shots generally since he's huge and closer to the basket, that's why he should be the reliable 2nd option when T-Mac is sucking.

This also seems a bit ridiculous after like 3 years of good chemistry and unselfishness between the two. Maybe it's just a phase...

Either that, or T-Mac want's his 25-30 shots so he can drop 50 on the Lakers Friday for ESPN.

    Ah...
I think QQ.com just get some online messenger tool popular in China.
It's own news. I do not believe at all.
As we know, there are some reporters just want to show something attract others' attention, nothing exacting.

Well to balance things out. You should also mention that all the reader's comments that called this guy the biggest fool, dummy... or things to that nature as well.

Relax, this is a guy does not know anything about basketball (from all the junks in his original article), just try to earn a couple of bucks by stiring things up.

Hey Pryuen? Is it possible that we can get you to translate the article for us here so everyone can read it for themselves instead of arguing over what is really going on.

Personally I think its probably sensationalism to get a reaction, but I would like to read what it had to say in any case so I can blow it off too. :)

Or maybe if another one of you very intellegent multilingual people have time to do it? I don't mean to put pressure on Pry, but he does such a good job he's the first one I think of when a translation is needed.

    Thanks guys!

As bad as this sounds, he is speaking some truth there. A lot of fans in China are more fans of Yao than the Rockets. You can almost guarantee that if Yao were to ever leave (which he will never do), I doubt the Chinese Media would still cover the Rockets and I bet most fans will follow Yao to his next team.
