Obviously this is a little out of sort. Everyone has off days or shooting slumps. I am pretty sure TMAC won't call people out on that, esp Yao...and since he is getting out of a slump himself. Horrible thread. Carry on.

Shame on you Pry...you should know better! Yao is the last person in the NBA to be hated by anyone, especially from T-Mac who has the utmost respect for Yao. So he shoots a lot in those two games, but thats how superstar get out of their slump including t-mac.

Did you watch the game last night? Tolbert said both player go out to dinner occasionally and they ask t-mac(pre-game) who pays the tab and t-mac said jokingly yao should pay b/c he let him ride on his private jet on certain occasion.I'm sure others have caught this as well.

    Lock this up mod...

I find the private jet bit quite stupid...

You don't just get mad in the middle fo the game and book a jet... those things were planned well ahead of time.

Well, true or not (Not!) the answer is no, they won't be the next Shaq and Kobe. Why? Well, Shaq and Kobe won three rings, Yao and McGrady are both career losers so far and are still playoff virgins, having never been past first base.

Well, in fact, what I know, alot of Chinese like/love Rockets is all becoz Yao's presence. They care this Duo is also becoz Yao. I cannot say they 100% are all like this, but no less than 80%. So that causes the ''one man show'' problem in the Chinese fans, if T-Mac play a better game than Yao, some of the Chinese fans or reports will be jealous, then you cannot imagine what some of them will say or write (this article is the best example).

Also, as what I have seen and read from the chinese sport sites, they usually forcus on Yao, even Yao plays not well, they will find the excuses then recover sadness for the fan. They are not speaking the truth, thats what I dont like.

I just read the article. There wasn't a single fact reported, no quotes from players, all of these are purely a speculation of the author based on what he has seen from the games. He feels as if Tmac has gone back to the "selfish old self" by taking more shots in the clippers game. I don't know how true is that, it could be just tmac wanting to be more agreesive and lead the team by example on being more intensed with the remaining regular season games going into the playoffs. And no, he neve even used the word "split".

First of all, you read a BS article somewhere on the net and then had the urge to start a thread on it. And then you took your impression of what you saw in a few Chinese fans and generalize it like it's the national sentiment of two billions people. It's idoits like you who give the new members a bad name.

I don't think it said "he lacked killer instinct" but more like "doesn't want to attack the rim." This is a big matter of translation from English to Chinese too. McGrady could have said something like Yao needs to attack the rim more, but it so depends on context and tone. He could have been talking about Yao not being back from the knee, or Yao's finger, or just in general. For example, what question was T-Mac answering when he said that? Reporters commonly indicate this.

Hi, you guys! It's true about the thread posted by Yao&Mac, he just translated the main idea of the news, we should never blame him coz he really cares about our duo.
I'm a Chinese, I know about some medias in China, It's obvious they are trying to think subjectively and they want to make their website famous by saying such crap. Forget about it, it's insane.

There is no need to apologize. You just saw news concerning the Rockets and decided to post it on this great website. No harm in it, the people who are getting upset at you are really r****ded.

Spreading un-verified news/rumor is more r****ded than the reporter who pulls SHlT out of his head

    Is that a promise?

    I'm just joking. ;)

This shows again that when you start a thread with complete nonsense the abuse will come. I'm sure the mods will lock this up soon.

I agree. Yao is not Shaq, and McGrady is not Kobe. Either way, it doesn't look like McGrady is mad anymore, and he sounded pretty happy in the post-game interview...

By the way, calm down, people! YAO&MAC was just reporting what he read and asking whether it was true. Yes, he caused us EXTREMELY UNNECESSARY grief, but I'm sure he didn't mean it. He was just concerned about his favorite Rockets. No need to hate him for that. Let's just say that all is forgiven and focus on the matter at hand: home-court advantage. :D
