Houstonarchitecture.info has great boards if you're wanting to read about new buildings, real estate news, neighborhood development, Houston transit, etc. Coogfans.com - not much in the way of intelligence, but a good discussion of UH athletics. A couple of Rice Owls boards are good if you want to read about Rice athletics. No discussion outside of that, though.
I know this is not really a Houston-related board...but my company just hired the guy that runs the top Sacramento Kings fan site... KingsTalk. While most of us dislike the Kings, the guy who runs it is an extremely nice guy and has had nothing but compliments for cf.net. He's actually posted here a bit in the past and has recognized cf.net as the largest fan-run sports site on the internet (most hits). It will be an interesting season with an avid Kings fan in the house!!
Crap! sorry to jack the thread but this post reminded me that there was a poker tourney this past weekend at Andy moon's place. Andy, sorry about missing it. the event totally slipped my mind.
