This has probabyl already been posted, so feel free to point he way if so, but I found this little tidbit interesting

Apr. 19: Oswalt was sharp Thursday, throwing seven shutout innings against the Reds. He allowed six hits, walked none and struck out six.

Fantasy Spin: Most impressively, he threw 69 of 86 pitches for strikes. Jimy Williams asked his young stud if he wanted to pitch the eighth. Oswalt declined, saying he was a bit concerned his competitiveness would cause him to go for a complete game when he was starting to tire. This is uncommon discretion for an inexperienced hurler and is just another illustration of why he's the best young pitcher in the game.

    True?

If that's true, I bet he was upset with his decision.

Where did you get this? The quote, from the chronicle, stated that Oswalt felt he could pitch the 8th, but then would of course want to pitch the 9th as well.

That's not a good reason for leaving after the 7th :). It's a player's job to be competitive. Let the manager be the one to yank... (unless, of course, the player really feels like he's lost it)
