Uggg, I will never forgive Jackson for The Frighteners. What a horrible movie. It tried way too hard to be funny and failed miserably. Also tried way too hard to be scary and failed. What a waste of time.

    But that's just me...

    Just kidding.

What an amazing movie though. She is now my pick for Best Actress, and it's a crime that this movie didn't get nominated for Best Picture and Billy Bob Thornton didn't get nominated for Best Actor.

Awwww. :( I thought The Frighteners got unfairly shafted by critics - it wasn't nearly as bad as its box-office performance here implied. Although I think Jackson's 'funny/gross' sensibilities are much better served by Braindead (known here as Dead Alive, maybe?). Truly foul and hilarious. Oh, and The Frighteners' score *sucked*. Danny Elfman needs to be retired.

Then again, I liked Mallrats better than Chasing Amy, so what do I know? :)

I was surprised by Sissy Spacek getting nominated...while a good performance I just didn't think she had a lot of time on screen. Maybe a Best Supporting nod.

I'd like to see both Denzel and Halle win. I just can't imagine good ol' boy Hollywood allowing that to happen.

I'm betting it's Crowe and Halle.

Anyone see her on Letterman the other night? If she is not the most beautiful woman in the world I don't know who is. I've never seen a woman age so gracefully...I know she's only in her mid 30's but she could pass for early 20's.
