Francis had a great game. He missed Mobley though. He scored a solid 14 points against all odds. Did anyone catch the killer cross over he pulled off against Iverson?
Actually (even though I'm a Francis supporter), I gotta say he had a horrible game shooting-wise. He started off 1-9 then ended up 3-15 or something.
I shoulda watched the game. Did he cross Iverson up real bad? I love watching Francis now that he's on the team. I find myself wanting Steve to go 1 on 3 all the time, if he turns it over or forces up a shot, oh well. I kinda understand why some nonrocket fans last year called me crazy for bashing Steve.
It's so true isn't it!!! I could care less when he bounes the ball off his foot now!!! He's one of the best players to watch when he starts making a run to get his team back into the game - when it works it's brilliant - the stop and pop, the screen and roll for Garrity (3), the hesitation drive to the hoop, the wild fall away which just shouldn't go! And if he's bad - well the Magic get another loss... big deal!
They've inherited the same poor (mental) habits from our Francis era: Get up for big games, especially if on TV. Blow off lesser teams. High Turnovers, low FG%, low Assists. Fun to watch. -->Should be a solid regular season team, and will bow out early in the playoffs. Not only is this a cheap shot, it's pretty dumb. He didn't have Pippenesque headaches. He had Meniere's disease. Scroll down, you'll see him listed. Read up on it, it's pretty debilitating. Try not not to be stupid when you're being a smart@ss. Evan
Come on now...so you guys are saying it's too early to judge the Rockets because they're still getting it together, but it's perfectly fine to judge the Magic based on 3 losses, one in which they were missing 2 starters? Yeah that's fair.
It's one thing if the trends could be coupled with getting to know new teammates. Watching them play, it's evident that the Magic have adopted Francis' personality just like Houston had earlier. And I say that thinking they're going to be in the race for the #4 seed in the East. I like them, I like Steve, but that doesn't make me blinded to the fact that Steve is averaging 4 TO a game (only in the opener has he had less than 3) and is shooting under 40%. Evan
He was being sarcastic. You see Fegwu hates Francis so much that even though he gets tired of people starting threads when Francis does well, his hatred is going to force him to do the exact opposite. That’s the irony of it all.
Superbowl is fair game, but the migraines aren't. What a cheap shot, it wasn't a headache, it was a disease. He still tried to play even when he was suffering attacks.
Cry me a river. I know full well what SF suffered from. How about next time you google up "sarcasm" or "context" before you get up on your stoopid box.
that's what i'm thinking. they could've started out 6-0 had they beaten powerhouses washington and charlotte. but they lost to them on the road. now in the wash game it seemed to clearly hurt them not having cato and cuttino b/c they were getting killed on the boards where cato would've surely helped and cuttino is just a wee upgrade over deshawn stevenson. of course they still beat the lakers w/o either but that of course was at home. this philly game they just couldn't shoot judging from looking at the boxscore.
