It's funny how people there really believe they actually have a chance to win it all with that team

    Really. That's unbelivable.

Come on, Orlando is not that good. I understand they are having a phenomenal regular season but for me they are going nowhere in the playoffs.

I can even risk a statement that Dwight is overated too. He usually shows up against weak, small centers who doesn't have the size and strength. But when he has to play guys like Shaq, Yao, etc he has a lot of troubles.

Why? Because he leaves on the offensive rebounds and alleyops. He doesn't really have great moves on the post. He doesn't have jumpshot. He is gonna be better, though.

    HAHA This is hilarious.

Farout Orlando, get over the past and stop sledging She-Mac. That is the job for the Houston Press now keke Just revel in the glory of being considered an elite team in the East. And be happy that you don't have to face the Rockets in your conference LOL.

Jeez. I'm no Tmac jock sniffer. But they seriously need to let it go.

The Magic kept their score close to ours until the 3rd quarter when they started to collapse and laid the foundation of losing that game. Just like the old rockets team used to do with Rafer at PG.

He basically compared Dwight Howard to potentially 3 of the top 10 NBA players of all time - Duncan, Shaq, and Bird.

And it really is funny how they talk about the Magic becoming a dynasty. This is hilarious. This defenseless joke of a team that chucks up 20 3 pointers in a game? The Magic, as they are, will NEVER beat a real team in a 7-game series.

Unfortunately, we as Rockets fans don't have much to brag about or throw in their face. Unless 94 and 95 counts.

    2009: Rockets/Magic. Rockets win in 5.

Well, last time they started talking dynasty ahead of the fact, we swept them in the Finals and the team imploded in a nasty break up.

They're good, and definitely in a good position in the East (no one coming up behind them really and the Celtics aging). They aren't a serious threat to Cleveland or any other title contender until/unless Howard realizes his potential. Which if he does, makes him a quicker version of Shaq. But developing a mean streak isn't common.

It's a little sad, like never getting over a girlfriend, but you pretty much have to expect the T-Mac article whenever we play them now.

whaaa?!?! WTF are you talking about? Hopefully you're being sarcastic here.

Why wouldn't they count? - especially '95! It seems to me that, as Rockets fans, being able to say our team won a championship by sweeping the best team they've ever had out of the finals (oh and by the way, 2 championships to zero) is about as good as it gets.

what do they have to brag about to us? a better regular season record this year? wow.

I'm the last one that will ever defend McGrady, but that writer, Mike Bianchi, is a piece of trash. He's worse than anything the Chronicle has, or ever had. His tirades after the trade were a disgrace to journalism. It's shameful that a newspaper would still allow a writer to spew a personal vendetta after these many years.

Again, I say this as a critic who never wants to see Tracy McGrady in a Rockets uniform again. I'm glad he's out for the season: It's called addition by subtraction.

it's seems a destiny for the Magic to be a mediocre team that has no chance to build a dynasty, even with the league's best player the Magic still can not build their dynasty, then the final episode is always their great players leaving Orlando for other teams. shaq had a wonderful start for his career in Orlando, but he chose to leave there just because the owner of magic team refuse to give him a contract he deserved. Magic signed T-Mac a couple of years later, expection him to bring help the Magic make the finals again, but they didn't even make the second round and got the league's worst record one year later. I think Jameer and Dwright will also seriously consider leaving Orlando for a team which can make the best use of their talents and capabilities, after they realized the Magic team's organization is almost the worst around the league.

And it seems like they will probably lose turkoglu this offseason- I think that will hurt them significantly. Along with that terrible Rashard Lewis contract, (which is part of why they'll likely lose Turkoglu) which is hugely overpriced already and becomes even worse for them in the future. He is signed for as long as Howard, and makes substantially more money (~4m per) than him every year.

The Magic are fool's gold- Unless, like you said, Howard makes a huge leap forward. The thing about Howard is, he's pretty freaking good already, so it's not clear to me how much more improvement he's got left in him. His stats this year are almost identical to last year, except with a slightly lower shooting percentage (58% this year vs 60% last year) and slightly higher blocks per game (2.9 this year vs 2.1 last year).

One place he could definitely improve would be to maintain possession of blocked shots instead of throwing them 30 feet out of bounds.

I always felt the Grant Hill situation was the one that held down the Magic in the 1st place.

    TMac is out injured.

    He's not in the game.

He was traded 5 years ago.

And Orlando writers can't stop writing about him.

You weren't a factor with TMac. You're not a factor now. What else is new?

Cover Space Mountain rehabs and breaking news on new Disney attractions...and stop worrying about TMac.
