Anyone know if it's true that O'Reilly walked out of an NPR interview complaining that they hadn't asked Al Franken tough questions? If it is, it really appears that Franken's got O'Reilly totally psyched out.
Perhaps there is a logical connection between irrational behavior from conservative blowhards and drug abuse. I'm all for investigating that and finding them good jail cells errr... treatment.
Sounds like it is true... from Joe Conason's column at Salon... _______ Don't miss today's broadcast of "Fresh Air," the NPR program hosted by Terry Gross. I am reliably informed that her guest, Bill O'Reilly, fled the studios in a fit of anger -- and that the show will be played in its entirety, including his undignified exit. What did the tiny, soft-spoken Terry ask that drove big, blustering Bill from her Philadelphia studio?
Bill needs to calm down, take a breath, and say to himself in front of the mirror "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darnit, people like me. "
It is indeed true. I heard it around 11:30 am on the NPR affiliate in Iowa City. I googled for a transcript soon afterwords but one hasn't appeared yet. My favorite part was when O'Reilly called Gross unprofessional and said she should be ashamed of herself. She tried to respond to a long rant at the end but he just walked out. It was quite hilarious. I'm sure it won't be too long before a transcript is available...
The whole thing is on here: http://freshair.npr.org/day_fa.jhtml;jsessionid=FHJVLTBITLE5DLA5AINSFEY?todayDate=current
Lying liar caught telling lies. The interviewer insulted O'Reilly by actually reading the texts about which O'Reilly was lying. Anything that contradicts him is "defamation." His head is entirely too far up his own anal cavity. He needs to keep his schtick in the safe bounds of the #1 rated cable news show "The Factor" and his books because he can't handle people not agreeing with him (and presenting his own contradictions to himself) not being able insult and shout people down.
I will give JOR a rare bit of credit and say that he wasn't given the same treatment that Franken was by Terry Gross, and he probably has a legitimate complaint in some respects, as Gross dove right into the Franken accusations. But instead of approaching it like a rational human being, he just flips out and he brings it on himself, he is just so nasty and hostile and confrontational about things all the time. He refutes charges of acting like a mean loudmouthed bully, by acting like a loudmouthed mean bully; people criticize him for shouting people down, and he shouts them down in response. He just doesn't get it. Finally, if Al Franken is lying so much about him, why not publish a book that details, with exhaustive research and footnotes, like Frankens, how these charges are not true?
Let me guess, they want to sue me for being politically incorrect,...They want to take my guns away (especially the evil black ones),...and take more of my money away for something benefiting someone regardless of how I feel about it...
