Okay, here is an update with the league. Chuck has had some things come up and as a result, he is not able to run the league anymore. Neither I nor Cat can run it because of time problems but either of us would do it if no one else would. However, thankfully Heath has said that he would run it. Now, we have to figure out how to get him a license for the game. This is where I need Castor's (or Zac's) help. Castor (Zac), I sent him that link that you gave me and he is going to download the .exe file. I also gave him my order ID number, but I never could figure out if that was my license or not. Chuck can't remember how he got a license and I am hoping that Heath can use my order ID#, but in case, that doesn't work, can you help us out? Once we can get Heath the game, Chuck will have to transfer the current league file to him. We probably won't be able to get free agency done tomorrow (unless a miracle happens tonight) but hang tight, fellas - I know it has been a long time without a sim but we are almost there. Keep the faith.
Alright, the license was alrighty! So now all we need is for Chuck to get the savegame uploaded and me to aquire it. Do I have to download any player updates (wouldn't think so) or is every thing (should be) in the save game. As soon as I get the savegame I will be ready to go in almost no time.
Chuck should send you a zipped file. All league activity is kept in a folder in the OOTP4 program folder.
Are you dudes starting over? If so, I wouldn't mind giving it a try. Only if the Expos are still available, though...
What Chuck said is that he might not even have time to play. And fadeaway we're not starting over, but you should give it a go anyway. Plenty of good teams available I would guess. Zac picked up the managerless Expos last season though.
Fade, you can have the Expos and welcome. The league's not starting over, though, so you're stuck with the current roster (2006 or so?).
We will start the offseason as soon as I get the savegame from Chuck. I guess we would have to delay it a day or two so everyone could prepare their offseason stuff, but no more than that.
Chuck - you can e-mail me the savegame through the BBS. And if you also can upload all the offseason stuff it would be perfect.
Of course we would hit some more bumps in the road. The savegame was to big to be e-mailed to me, but Chuck is on top of it. He will split the save in smaller pieces and get them to me that way. Those who wait for something good ....
Okay, I talked to Heath last night around 11 or so in chat and he said that Chuck was in the process of sending him the pieces of the save game file. But that is all I know - I know it has been excrutiatingly long but good things come to those who wait, right?
