Decided to put this in a new thread since we will be into the new season soon. With the up and coming Talent of a 4th rd. draftee I am going to place Michael restovich or Cliff Floyd on the trade block. If you ar einterested I would like a Major league Starter or some low level (A-AA) prospects at any position.

I'm not needing to trade, but I wouldn't mind pulling a blockbuster deal with someone.

The only players that would not be traded under any circumstance would be the following:

    Grant Real
    Donald Hammond
    Roy Hunt
    Ricardo Villareal
    Denny Bautista
    Carlos Lopez
    James Singer

After that, any one is fair game. However, please be advised that I don't need to really trade, therefore I will be picky about the offers I get, i.e. I am not going to trade Lobb for a MR and a prospect.

So, if you are interested in trying to swing a major deal with me, let me know.

Manny...what's the word on that Mieses deal?

The following Cardinals are open to offers also:
    SP Josef Mundo AGBGB
    C Albert Gonzalez GAABB
    3B Johnathan Replogle GFAGA

I could really use a solid setup man. Don't have any real need for ML hitters.

I tried to email you (the one with the yahoo account), but I got the dreaded "mailer daemon".

I did some thinking about it, and I think Mieses may be worth more than that. However, I may still decide to do it but I need to get a second opinion and that hasn't happened yet.

The Giants have decided to lower payroll a little bit and have put:

Adam Dunn(free agent after the year, struggling because SF hates on lefties and it's in his head)
Randy Conklin(good 2b/ss, can get on base at a 400 clip)
Jesse Foppert(solid 3rd-5th starter, small contract)
Emmanuel Tejada(another solid middle to back end starter, with a under 3 mil longterm deal)
    and lastly

Jose Jimenez(old, but still has his ratings and an expiring contract next year)

Prospects and if I trade Dunn a solid major league of are wanted.

That yahoo one is old, filled up with junk. I could add in a prospect SP, like Clifford or Golder...if that would help.

Too many players, so I'm going to put some on the block:

SS D'Angelo Jimenez - Can really hit for average and doubles. Made All-star team in 2009, need to make room for a upcoming prospect. 33 years old. Switch hitter. GFP.

RF/SS Herman Maria - Good in hits/homers/strikeouts. 26 years old, hasn't played in the majors yet. GGA.

C Demarcus Avendano. GAG catching prospect. 26 years old.

SS George Dunneback. Solid player, 27 years old. Went .299/18/66 in his first nearly full (113 games) season. GAA.

SP Jeff Heaverlo. Solid pitcher, A duration, very good contract. 33. GAGA.

SP Gary Loomis. 27 years old, hasn't pitched much. Lefty. GAGB

RF/LF Jorge Padilla. Struggles a bit for average, but draws a nice amount of walks and hits well for power. ABG

    Looking for:

I am looking for solid young prospects at possibly any positions, and I would really like another first round draft pick or two for this years draft.

Giants still have good players available for trade, such as

    Emmanuel Tejada
    Ben Grieve
    Pat Burrell
    Koyie Hill
    Jerome Williams
    Jesse Foppert
    Nathan Dawley
    Randy Conklin

    Among others

I want prospects in return, the value depends on the player.

Either Jose Mieses or Bartolo Colon can be had for 2 very good MRs (must have at least a "7" in avoiding runs).

Let me know if you are interested.

    Hey DV,

Your email through the board must not be the one you are using now.

I was going to do that deal we talked about the other night, but I have changed my mind.

Jess has some sentimental value to me. Sorry and sorry for taking so long to let you know something.

Didn't mean to do a "devestata" on you...heh

P.S - OOTP Owners, it would be nice if you could assemble @ saaaaay, 9:00 pm Tonight. ;) If we all do, there is a possiblity that we could get an early start on the season.

If anyone has a need for any batters I have a bunch of good major leaguers available.

Name Age Pos HITS HOMERS WALKS SP STA RANGE
    D. Brown 33 LF Good Good Average C C D
    A. Escobar 32 RF Average Good Fair C B D
    R. Escalante 28 RF Good Good Average D D C
    J. Wilson 30 3B Good Average Average B B C
    P. Pugh 27 LF Good Fair Brilliant C B C

Listed in order of from my ratings page. Escobar have maxed his talent he was GBA years ago but when he lost his talent he didnt lose more ratings than he was forced to do. Wilson can play 2B and SS as well (B and C defense). I'd want prospects or pitching.

Okay, I am going to throw this out now.

I will be cutting it close in resigning my guys, so in an effort to free up more money, I will listen to offers on Albert Boyster and Jose Mieses.

Now, if I trade Boyster, I want someone who can play OF, who makes less, preferably not a free agent at the end of this season, and should be a starter for most teams. He doesn't have to be a brilliant in homers, but he should be able to come close to an .800 OPS.

If you offer someone who makes more than Al, then you will have to take on the dreaded contract of Victor Zambrano.

As for Mieses, looking more for a top 100 prospect plus probably a very good reliever that is cheap and once again, preferably not a free agent at the end of this season.

Let me know if you are interested.

EDIT - Heath, I like Escalante. Would Boyster and Daniel Olea, prospect SP in AA sound good to you for Escalante and MR, John Lopez?

I have 1 too many SP so i am going to trade one of them. I would like to trade Aaron Harang for prospects or MR help. I could also be persuaded to trade Tatis for prospects if anyone is interested in a decent 3B with and expiring contract.
