I had been a Rox fan since the late 80's because I remember catching a Rox game on NBC and watching Hakeem play in a way that I never thought possible for a big man. I'm from NY, and it was before the League Pass, so I couldnt really follow Rox games, but I watched the boxscores in the papers and hungrily read any article devoted to the Dream. At that time I wasn't a true Rox fan, I was a Hakeem Only Fan, but still rooted for the Knicks. I switched to rooting for the ROx fulltime when the Knicks got Pat Riley (the slimiest, biggest bs king in the world, plus he coached LA). I only foudn out about Clutchcity.net when I was doing a search on Yao Ming stats about a year ago and got linked here from Google. Well anyway, I remeber when I first got here, eevry thread was about Yao Ming, and I mean every single thread. And then after that, every single thread was about people calling out Yao Only Fans. It got to a point where it was almost like a witchhunt, where anytime you said something positive about Yao or negative about SF3, you were a YOF. At that point, bout 6 months ago, I really did not enjoy reading this BBS, there was just so much hatin goin on, it was ridiculous. But, I've noticed recently, even before the big winning streak, that ClutchFans seem to have found a nice balance between those who root for the Rox because its the area they live in and those who root for the Rox because of Yao. There's still some people on this board who cant let things go, and always gotta add outdated r****ded comments like "Yao is the best player ever!!" or "you think we should bench Cat? you are a YOF!!", but most of those have either stopped posting or have changed their tune. I know this probbaly belongs in another forum, but it was something that I thought I'd like to share with everyone in the GARM since I know most people only post here. Peace
Maybe some of the YOFs just moderated their stance after seeing SF3 put a few solid games lately, and some of the YOF-haters saw that Yao can win ball games for the Rockets, so rooting for Yao is in effect rooting for the Rockets.
I will just add one little thing to your otherwise good and true post: You are not automaticly a YOF if you root for the Rockets and doesn't live in Houston at the same!! Please!

what about "r****ded outdated comments" like "Yao is the worst number 1 draft ever" or " Yao will never stand a chance against Shaq" or "Jay Williams over Yao" or "trade Yao Ming now".
