I know our guys can't shoot.
I know our guys is not tough.
I know our guys don't play team ball.
But as a team , our guys have just been together for one year.
( consider the previous year injury, illness.....)
Should they have ONE MORE YEAR, or at least half season.

They might already know what is wrong.

He's saying not to make any trades or moves. Let's see what the same group can do with a 2nd chance.

Oh, cool. Makes sense to me. :)

I've said all along that we already have a good team on paper, we just need a different style of coaching. I'm all for standing pat* until we see what this team can do with a new coach.

*except we need to cut Moochie

Keeping this team together another year would be fine. However, if the opportunity presented itself to get another strong impact player like Brand, O'Neal, etc.. then that would be fine as well.

    Exactly

I no I'm not the only one who remembers blowing the Mavs out at the Summit.......er Laptop last year. That was a freaking game. I watched every one of the games and we were just up one and down the next. We need a change but Gundy, PJ's, Lap Top and the little dribbler are all the changes we need to make.

I've been saying this all along! Just leave everyone where they are and see what happens.

Dallas is the best example I like to use. They had their big 3 (Dirk, Nash and Finley) for a long time before they started winning. They had to go through a lot worse than we did, but now they're tied for the best record in the league. The Rockets just need to bond for a while and it'll all be worth it in the end.

Rockets have 7 million cap space left this . Gilbert Arenas from GS who avg 18ppg, 6 rpg and 6 apg is willing to play with Denver for 7 million. Get him. NOW. He can play pg / sg. Or get a big gaurd who avoid this mismatch Mobley faces every night.

USE THAT 7MILLION CAP SAPCE PLEASE. ADD A GUARD TO THIS TEAM. Mobley and francis play 41 mins a game every night.

I couldn't agree more. No trades. Just let this team develope til we have great chemistry. IMO that's pretty much the only thing we lack, chemistry, we have all the talent to be a great team, I think that JVG is going to help a lot to develope the chemistry.

To have this chemistry[and that is what all fans want to see]then there will have to be a major reinvention of the Rockets mind set, especially if they are to play as a team and not as a bunch of selfish individuals. Go JVG you can do it!

uh... are you sure the rockets have 7 million in cap room??? all they have is the mid level exception.

the roster will remain the same most likley. It's what i've expected all along. The talent is here, it just's needs to be molded. Mobley and Francis will be tougher, and better defensively. Yao will improve and the team will win 50 games next year and be the anywhere from the 6 to 8th seed

This team already has great chemistry. They just don't play basketball very well.

How could this be the case when you have had the starting Guards playing a Guard Oriented Game and the Coach trying to develop a Center Oriented Team. There was chemistry, only when Rudy insisted or when there was a large Asian section to the crowd, then Francis would acquesce for part of the game and play the Big man Game.

I think Steve and Cuttino just need to realize that for the first time in their career they have a truly reliable center. Hakeem was past his days as a franchise player when they came, and after that Cato was the center. This past season Yao was a rookie and people doubted his ability, but now that they've seen what he can do they should trust him more. So probably this next season they'll start to give the ball to Yao more often.
