Can anyone please give me one good reason other than for marketing purposes should the Rockets draft Ming, compared to sending this pick and getting more out of it. I know we need help in the middle, but we still can get it. This guy is not a Shaq or even a Tim Duncun when they entered the draft. Think about it, Orlando traded their #1, and picked up Penny and some quality depth. Two years later they were in the NBA Finals. On the court do you believe Ming is going to bring what we could get out of a quality player (Odom) and 3 picks?
<i>Think about it, Orlando traded their #1, and picked up Penny and some quality depth. Two years later they were in the NBA Finals. <i> Yeah and if we already had Shaq, as Orlando did, then we could afford to do the same thing. Unfortunately, we don't, so we take Ming.
Odom?? I made the mistake of picking Odom in Fantasy Basketball during the season - his season in a word - horrible. Worse than any scrub on my team and I ended up not playing him. Lots of other words to describe Odom like - problem. No way we should make him a Rocket, let him disrupt someone elses team.
if the price is right then we should take odom. he is an upgrade over anyone we have at sf at this point.
