Some posters criticized his summer workout video stating that his release was too slow and that defenses will be blocking his shot. Looks like his release is just fine. So many basketball experts here.
This. I suspect that he's been underachieving the last couple of years. When he came in the league his first year he put up some decent stats and it was clear that his strength was as a shooter. And then the drop-off. I strongly suspect that was just because of the situation he was in on both teams. I think Morey realized this awhile back, apparently they're coveted him for awhile. On this contract he's a steal. I don't think there's any question at this point that he makes the cut. My only question is whether he ends up starting. Personally I think he's too valuable on the 2nd unit, but it's really just a function of how many minutes he gets when you talk 2nd teams anyway.
I like him a lot with the second unit at this point in time. He is covering the liability on our back up center position with his rebounding and he's producing spurts of scoring within the flow of the game. He has a great outside shot and synergies really well with Francisco. He kind of reminds me of Parsons to be honest, just not as good defensively.
He just needed a change of environment. He will excel with our Rockets to say the very least! Ala Jacobe Jones...
Just imagine rox throwing parsons Garcia and casspi at teams. Can u say stretch 4 3 times? I don't care about what casspi did I like what he is doing. That 3 on 1 fast break with parsons harden and casspi last game was so delicious I downloaded it.
