My TV guide said the XXX Olympics were on. That sounded interesting! But I tuned in and everyone was wearing clothes and playing badminton. Europeans are WEIRD.
He needs an offense that revolves more around him, and frankly that's not going to be in the cards anywhere but in China. He has a pretty decent all around game but he plays a crap load softer in the NBA and I just don't know how much his skills translate given that so many teams have tried and given up on him. I've always read articles about how all the people that train with him think he's a real freak athlete and sing his praises, but when you watch him in the NBA he's just content to sit back and shoot jump shots (which he's not great at). Plus he looks kind of lost in terms of getting positioning for boards and on offense. So I don't know, it's definitely an issue of putting things together because he should be able to make it somewhere in the league but he can't seem to.
My guess is that language is still an issue for him. Don't recall him really conversing fluently in English like Yao has.
Seeing Scola and Ginobili together again, seems like Scola would have more impact playing with the Spurs, than playing with the Suns.
The part about Scola is meh. He's always completely killin International competition, this is no indication of how good he will be in the NBA this season.
