May be because when UT wins it's the norm? They're supposed to be one of the top teams every single season because they're one of the top recruiters. For the past years for UH, it's been the opposite: anytime they win it makes news (may be not recently with their improved teams, but I am talking in years past). It's the same reason why news organizatons don't report "good news" or how everything went smoothely in the world today, because that's the norm.

pg is right. there is no basketball spirit in austin. its been like pulling teeth to get people to go to games.
I don't want to send this to the D&D, but do you think that has anything to do with how few black people there are at UT-Austin or in the city of Austin in general? I've never seen a town as big as Austin be so white.
