I believe the general tone is "damn we got destroyed by the horrible nuggets, that means we're REALLY horrible." The Nuggets do suck, and the Rockets suck also...
Difference is, the Rockets "scrubs" are the bench. But Denver has been playing with that team since the trade with Dallas. So they've got playing time, we've got Francis and Mobley leading the league in minutes, Moochie leading in dribbles, and Griffin in percentage of field goals being 3-pters. At least the Nugz should suck and don't. We should suck and do. All these scrubs ask for a chance to prove themselves "out there". Well you're out there and you still look like you're missing something. What's missing? The bench that's normally attached to your a$$.

Smokey - It's the Greenville (S.C.) Groove who are the champions of the NBDL. And they feature 2 Sandwiches at center! The Groove was also Ansu Sesay's team before he joined the Sonics. I guess you can tell it's game 81 for two teams with a combined win total which is almost lower than any one of the top 4 WC seeds. As mentioned prior, it's early summer league...OK kids, school's out for another year....
The fact that anyone even bothered to watch that game truly disturbs me ...next thing I'll see is a thread where LewisLloyd is asking someone if they taped the gamem so he can trade a 1977 Rocket-Jazz game for it
Finally someone who sees the light. We have Rockets whiners in this thread acting like it's the end of the world because our scrubs were destroyed by their scrubs. We have a Nuggets fan in here acting like his manhood was stolen from him when no Rockets fan is giving his team credit for winning a lousy game. The fact of the matter is both these teams suck. Both of these teams had some of their worst players out there. So their worst trashed our worst. Big whooptie doo. I really couldn't care less. Let's get on with the draft and the next season. Save the pissfest fan battles when you have a couple of teams that actually can win something other than a higher lottery position. I'm sure the Spurs and Mavs fans are chuckling at this thread.
Sorry NugzFan I beg to differ, at full strenth our Rockets will tear the Nuggets apart. PLease people... we only had 1 decent scorer out there in Kenny Thomas and he didn't play alot of minutes or put up alot of shots. If anyone noticed, this gme was about giving the younger players more playing time. Who apart from Mcdyess can hurt the Rockets? Posey maybe if he's on, Van Exel and Rafrentz.... oops my bad, they were traded to "DALLAS". HAVE MERCY!!! I don't buy any of this Rockets are just as bad.... people just over-react to a pointless game, unless Dan Langhi and Jason Collier are the stars of this team!
For me, it isn't about the losing, it's about the effort. I'm a big fan of tanking, myself, and I'm hoping for the higher lottery pick. I'm looking for losses. And I understand that this is a good time for Rudy to give the scrubs some playing time. But we outright tanked the game. This wasn't 'scrubs getting experience is a higher priority than winning,' it was out-and-out tanking. It was disgraceful what a piss-poor team they fielded. The other thing is that I doubt this is very good experience for the scrubs when you tank at the same time. Rockets scrubs vs Denver scrubs won't given you even regular season intensity. They can have the same experience during the summer without stealing thousands of people's hard-earned dollars. Nugz is right, we need to at least try.

well sorry but no. we whooped your team earlier this year too. you guys keep saying your core is good yet they cant win. dont make excuses last night - we had less talent out there than you did. did you see OUR lineup - guys like zendon hamilton, chris andersen, carlos arroyo, kenny satterfield, menk bateer, calbert cheaney, donnell harvey, etc... the way you guys talk about griff, he should have gone for 40 and 20 against these kids. until you guys prove anything on the court (same for us), yall cannot talk.
I remember that game. Hakeem and Clyde were hurt. Charles was our only superstar playing. We didnt even try that game and I ended up annoying the living crap out of the Chuckster.
juan- i don't know if we were so much tanking out there as we were just plain bad. these guys just have no experience together in a real game. rudy just doesn't seem like a guy who tanks, other than keeping our best players out, and that could just be to prevent injury.
