Anyone else a sneakerhead? What shoes are you guys looking forward to? I'm looking forward to the Adidas NMD PK OG's They're releasing in a couple of weeks! Here are Yeezy's confirmed releases so far for 2017 Also just for fun, here is a chart of this year's stock prices of all the shoe brands 2016 Final Stock Chart: +62% Adidas - blue +10% S&P 500 - green -19% Nike - orange -39% UA - red Adidas has really killed the shoe game in the past couple of years.
Bought a couple shoes recently the Jordan Banned XXXI and some Nike Cortez's like the ones Forrest Gump had haha This was my first pair of Jordans I usually rock Vans or Nikes but the XXXIs are clean!
Nobody cares about stock prices unless you're talking stocks. I don't go to Kroger's because the stock is valued higher than HEB. Ultimately Nike is the bigger company compared to Adidas in actual revenue, but that shouldn't matter to sneakerhead. The vintage Nike Yeezy's price higher than the Adidas ones. The Yeezy line feels like manufactured hype.
Stocks are based on their quarterly numbers and nike haven't hit their projected numbers and severely underperforming meanwhile Adidas has been overperforming in the past couple of years. People have moved onto adidas. Every sneaker blogs are mostly adidas content now. Nike is the bigger company but their profits have dwindled in the past couple years and their stock of shoes have been stuck in storage collecting dust. So yes the stock prices for 2 years does mean something. Air yeezy do cost more but because they were super limited and after a few years, less deadstock is available

I don't even know what you're blabbing about in the first place, this is a sneaker head thread and what's the hottest shoes currently. I'm into adidas so I'll post adidas shoes. If you like Nike and Jordan then that's cool. I like the Nike AF SF olives.
The problem with Nike is that the Jordan Retro well is going dry. They still have a few magic bullets left if they release the IVs with NIKE Air on the back like how they did the cement IVs last year and maybe retro the Concord 11s a few more times but that's about it. Anyone who's wanted a pair of Jordan _________ has had a chance to buy them at least once in the past 3-4 years. The other problem Nike has is that they don't have that "IT" sneaker outside of Jordan Brand anymore. They made a killing off of the first Roshe's but even that well has been tapped out. The Air Max running line, once a big staple of revenue for them, is aesthetically garbage now. Their basketball division took a big hit when they lost their top dogs in designing to Adidas. Now their shoes (outside of whoever is designing the Kyrie's) look horrendous (e.g. Durants, LeBrons, etc.). Adidas took a huge risk on Kanye and it's been paying off. The ultraboost technology has been working tremendously well for them and incorporating them into almost anything (from the Harden's, to Yeezy's, to ultraboosts, etc.) probably saves a TON of money. Ultraboosts and NMDs are just this era's version of the big Nike Dunk SB boom back in the early 2000s. Adidas is simply just riding the wave right now and I hope they can continue to compete against Nike.
I go through phases. right now I'm a sneaker head, last year it was all about retro 80s futbol kits. How does one even know when a shoes come out? When are the next tributes for Mcfly coming out, for those of us that can't steal biff's almanac and afford the real mags? I like the "nike id" concept and have designed the lebron soldier's to resemble somewhat.. yay or nay? also got on the addidas site. Man have they always had bad shoes and no creativity? If addidas released a tribute to 'teen wolf' i'd lose my mind ron artest style so would every other 80s nerd, so I experimented with their "Mi addidas" came up with the "Beastly forty-twos". (will add plush fur with a fabric adhesive) 180 and 140 seems pretty steep but I guess it's for the customization.
How I wish I still had my first and third generation Jordans, my Reebok Pumps, and my Barkleys from when I was a kid.
Last 3 years I was a crazy sneakerhead. Im still active but I do not buy like i once did. They don't normally make yeezys in my size, and the NMDs have changed the sneaker game in my opinion. Jordan Brand has gotten crappier imo, with a lot of misses compared to their hits. Anyway, wear what you like! don't be sheep
Nike declined comment on Adidas' ambition, but its dominance only shows what a challenge it will be for Adidas to even get close. Nike reported $14.8 billion in total North American sales last year, compared with $3.7 billion for Adidas. http://money.cnn.com/2017/04/28/news/companies/mark-king-adidas-nike-under-armour/index.html
