WTF? I go away for a moment and we are down 4-1, how is it that this team can not stand success...2 steps forward one back. Petitte has STUNK this year......he is hardly the same pitcher, if he doesn't improve significantly in the 2nd half, it may be time to let him walk after this year. DD
That is because you do not understand greatness, and can not fathom the depths of my knowledge. Keep asking grasshopper, and maybe next time use the word, please..... You will always strive to take the penny from my hand, and you will continually fail, too bad for you grasshopper. DD
This team always seems to suck at interleague play. What are they gonna do this coming week when they have to play some of the top teams in the AL?
And yet they're the 4th best team in the NL since interleague started. And, when they face the top teams in the AL... they'll have to play better. I'm looking forward to seeing the new rotation, and semi-new everyday lineup go up against the Chi-sox, Tigers, and Rangers in their place.
Well, obviously the bench is going to be weaker if Lamb is an everyday player. And, if Palmeiro was batting .350, and still had his high OBP, and was hitting HR's and doubles galore... I'd question why this guy wasn't starting... not glorifying about him being on the bench. You can't have everything... but sometimes, that's hard for Astros fans to accept.
Indeed.... perhaps Richie Justice may be right in prognosticating him as the Astros 2006 MVP when the season is over.
Burke rules. Oh, and it appears that some need refreshing... MLB season=162 games MLB game=9 innings. You're welcome.
isn't it looking less and less surprising that he was the one to end the 18- inning game last year? kid seems as cool, calm, and collected as they come.
That's the first time I've ever heard a player being referenced to his MLB draft position, other than the guys who are drafted #1 overall. Just goes to show you how different the NBA and NFL drafts are compared to the CRAPSHOOT that is the MLB draft.
I just love the fact that when he does make contact... the ball JUMPS off that bat. He also doesn't get cheated on any swings (even to the point where his shouldr pops out), and he has showed an increased ability to get on base. Willy needs to take notes... and Ensberg needs to get back into playing/hitting shape and contribute.
Especially when both of those are played to such fanfare and media attention...where the MLB draft takes place in-season with barely a whisper.
