Same thing could be said about Buchholz. Nice fastball and a power curve, he basically only uses two pitches.

I'd keep one of the two for the pen without a doubt. Why waste a MLB arm in AAA?

Look at their ERAs, both above league average. What is better to start every fifth game in AAA or to pitch one inning a week in mopup?

I always remember Elarton having a short arm delivery, but when did he develop that annoying hitch in his giddyup?

    Ugh, brain fart by Lamb.

    Potential rally killer.

Nice to see a catcher with an arm...wish we had him...oh wait...

I hate it when the Stros lose...especially to the worst team in the league.

because that's baseball. because a team is as good as their starting pitcher that night.

after all the years of watching astros baseball...and particularly the last two seasons...i'm surprised people don't understand this more. starting pitching is the #1 variable. on any given night, if your starter is on, you're in the game. no matter who you're playing. no matter how poorly your team has played before.

In addition to that, the worst team in the league generally wins more than one-third of their games. And the best team generally wins less than two-thirds of their games.
