I'd say this would be fairly typical of any average to below average team facing another mediocre team on a Tuesday night. Houston teams don't lack fan support...when they're winning.

Tough break there for Bourne. It hurts taking the bat out of Berkman's hands with a man on.

Going deep into games is becoming a concern for Norris.

Like Myer's said in the paper today, he needs to not try and strike everyone out and mix in a breaking ball once in a while. I think he falls in love with that 95 mph fastball and by the 4th or 5th inning, hitters are sitting on it.

since they built MMP, the Astros have been at least in the top 1/3 of attendance in the league every year. they've drawn over 3 million fans 3 times.

When Octavio Dotel was starting he used to be that way. Always seemed to fall apart after 5 innings. Norris will ultimately end up in the bullpen if he doesn't start pitching to contact, and gain better control.

Why? The guy has great stuff and worked his tail off this winter. Who are you going to replace him with? Brian Moehler?

sick of hearing that. it obviously means nothing in his case. seems like every single start, everybody just looks to extract a positive or two, talk about how filthy his stuff is, and meanwhile, the hits, runs, and losses just pile up on his resume.

i'll save you the trouble of you having to type out the next inevitable paulino fanboy post...yes, i know wandy's story with his similar start to his career.

and i don't care who he's replaced with. give mr. finch a chance.

I'm hardly a Paulino Fanboy. I would love to hear who could legitimately start in his place. I wanted Casey Daigle to make the opening day roster but definitely not as a starter. LOL Wandy and Paulino are the last people I would be comparing in terms of starts to their careers. You have the wrong person. I don't compare pitchers career paths when they are completely different pitchers. This Mike Leake guy can handle the bat way better than most pitchers. Hunter is such a sucker for that slider away. I'm going to the game tomorrow. Awesome. Please win.

craploads of other people do. just like they compare the start of towles career to the start of berkman's.

why can't daigle start and pitch 5 innings?

you can't start a player just because you think he has "sick stuff" and because he works hard. there's a tad bit more involved with being a big league starting pitcher than that. he has done NOTHING to ever prove that he's big league ready.

WOW, at first glance, I was about to kill that BB but he really didn't bother Pence. Tough break for Paulino but only 2-0/

Leake looks dynamite, Reds building a pretty intriguing young rotation. Now if they can move Harang and Arroyo for some more quality prospects, they could be a team to watch in the near future.

Jesus what the **** is Pence doing.

They both almost had a similar problem in a previous inning.
