how about three? throw in a game 7 in the stanley cup playoffs and i'm pretty sure i won't be moving tonight.
Good night for sports. Although, my favorite days are the days of the Texans and Astros playing....(when the games matter).
I'm sure the column is already written and just waiting for the millisecond after the game on 4/30 ends so he can get it in the paper on 5/1.
The best are when all 3(Titans/Rockets/Astros in my case) are playing at the same time. It means playoff baseball give or take a week. Probably followed by the Rockets and Astros both playing in May/June.
Lets get the brooms out. I am so pumped that at least for the time being the Astros games mean something. Date night with the wife at the game tonight. Kids are with my folks. 6pm cant get here soon enough.
I've never lived in Houston, never really got into football until the Oilers already left town. My dad grew up in Houston, thus the connection to the Astros/Rockets, and both were sports I liked earlier then football.
My wife and I love to go to RR Express games w/o the kiddos. Means we actually get to watch the game instead of chasing my 4-yr old all over the park.
sad how empty the ball park is. Guess I shouldn't be surprised... Tuesday night, against a terrible team.....and there isn't too much optimism about this team.
I typically don't care how bad we are or who we are facing. If i've got the night open I'm going to do my best to go. Baseball is always a joy to watch and the atmosphere that comes with it is great. It's discouraging that in a city this large the fan support is so lacking in the major sports.
Bud is pitching pretty well. Poop did something right. Bobby Heck is going to make our team SIGNIFICANTLY better, so lets read this message two years from now and all smile.
You people are not very active tonight. Chop chop. Is there a chat thats not controlled by lame Greg Lucas?
