Why the hell are they still sticking by Happ? He's been terrible all year. He needs to go down to AAA to work on his game and give someone else a shot. The club seems content to let him work out his problems in major league games until he finally turns it around. I don't think the fans are content with it. I know I'm not. It's like watching batting practice being thrown. In general, it feels like the Astros organization is actually trying to alienate fans these days. Well...it's working. I question everything about these guys including heart, ability, desire, etc. . Have they given up and just accepted the label as worst team in the big leagues? It sure feels like it.
I know I'm Mr. Sunshine. But I went to the game Saturday night and had a blast. Sat 3 rows up from the Rays bench. Astros left a ton on base. Had a blast with my kid and some friends. I told my son on the way out the game, my worst night at a ballpark is better than MOST nights elsewhere. I didn't need to give him a refresher on the birds and bees talk, so I just left it at "most."
1) We don't have anyone better than Happ available 2) Happ has been very successful in the past 3) I agree that Happ should go to the minors for a little while to see if they can find out what has gone wrong with him. If they do send Happ down, the corresponding move may be to put ARod back in the rotation, and bring FRod back up.
I couldn't agree more, and they are offering some ridiculously good ticket deals right now. My move to Houston is finalized next week, and I plan on going to a lot of games for the rest of this season.
I thought every team won 40%, lost 40%, and the remaining 20% separated the good, the bad and the ugly... oh wait, thats democrat and republican presidential election stats.
true... I will say that as bad as they are, they're still my team...I have to tell my son that even thought they suck, they'll be alright...one game at a time...lol
