Ehh.... the Astros sort of exceeded my expectations. I actually thought they would get blown out all weekend.

Im not too confident in that 2012 2013 stuff either. On one hand you can say yea we will have a decent farm and young players on the team and on the other hand we can be sorry as hell like we are now just with a lower payroll. I just dont believe in Ed Wade.

Didn't get a chance to catch the game yesterday, but what a strange/intriguing stat line for Norris huh?

    5 innings...

    6 hits, 5 runs, 4 earned, 3 walks, and 10 K's. 114 pitches though Dear Christ...
    lol

Was Norris' pitch count so high because he was trying to punch everyone out?

That's the way it appears. He's got to find a way to get some quicker outs...they tee'd off on him in the fifth, probably because they had seen so many pitches from him already and knew what to look for.

He has a great future in the bullpen if he can't cut it as a starter. With the strikeout ability he has, he could become a dominant setup/closer. The problem with him in the rotation is he is way to dependent on his fastball, and he lacks confidence in his changeup(perhaps for good reason). He needs to be able to throw 3 pitches at any time, but instead its four seamer after four seamer.
