It's embarrassing to get swept in a 4 game series and then come home and just **** the bed.

Kazmir is garbage. I really hope he's not back here next year.

This is more than lack of talent. It's a lack of pride and a total pathetic display. It wouldn't be overreacting for some heads to roll after this, specifically Hinch. The city should be ashamed of the team at this point for this display.

You don't go into the season "hoping" some minor leaguer who has shown nothing can suddenly turn into our #2. That's pure idiocy.

If they have any championship aspirations, they will sign another front line starter.

Tucker is a DH or nothing. He is Kevin Mench. If the Astros didn't have the mongloid triplets with Carter, Valbuena and Gattis, they could have Marisnick in center and Springer and Rasmus out there. However since we don't have major league hitting at half out spots, we have to run Tucker out there.

The good thing is that we have the pitching to have Appel as number 5. Then with proper coaching, he has the stuff to become that great pitcher he can be.

How many teams would love to have Appel with them and pitching next year out of the 5th spot?

Uhh yeah... The owner isn't an especially compassionate patient man without purpose.

Yes but for the last few months this club has been a .500 club or worse here in September. I think as much as we had elite pitching and D early in the year , teams like ... Say the rest of our entire freaking division weren't playing at the level they are showing now . If Texas plays the entire year as well as they are playing right now then they take the division regardless of our bullpen collapsing . Their lineup is straight clicking right now and fielder and beltre are making opposing pitchers their b****es . Role players like Andrus, desheilds , and odor are also looking competent . Most games we have two or three guys who can consistently put together professional at bats .

So while the bullpen looks helpless and is easy to point to as a culprit , I would agree more with , " we just aren't that good ."

Worse than Gomez? Gomez had a slow start but before his injury was on an absolute tear. Kazmir, outside of his first 2 starts, has been hot trash. Gomez hasn't been a bust, Sizzle.

Man, I've got to say, you're my least favorite poster. You were absolutely horrendous in the GARM during the playoffs, and not much has changed here. Your pessimistic "woe is me" BS is a terrible way to live as a fan.

All we had to do was play .500 ball. We created this monster.

Do you know the one thing more annoying than Cangrejero? Posters constantly mocking him. If you don't like a poster, just block them. I like your posts most the time... Just be the bigger man.
