Anyone have any idea how much Valverde's ERA went up after this outing?

Ugggh. That was so gay. I was there last night. I actually got on TV towards the ned. We were the one's celebrating really hard after getting a foul ball in the 9th.

    We weren't celebrating for long.

Consider yourselves lucky your coverage of this game isn't being interrupted every five minutes to warn the Pittsburgh area of a tornado warning. A tornado warning? In Pittsburgh? WTF....

Least I don't quite have to worry about watching the game for long tonight. Thanks Cassel.

Runelvys looked better last night than Cassell.

    Cassell is getting hit hard.

:( Bring on our new star Wolf. I'm tired of watch Cassell fail.

Bourn just saved another run or two there for Cassel. Cassel looks awful so far.

This Cassel guy is the worst starter i've seen in a while and i'm a Pirates fan.

Cassel sucks. He has no velocity much like Moehler. Guys that have to rely on location will rarely be very good over the long run. The same goes for pitchers that are all power but can't locate (Nieve is a great example). Moehler has been lucky this season (sorry Moehler lovers) but if you look at his career number, it all makes sense.

Byrdak has been our best pitcher this year and now he's given up runs in 3 of his last 4 appearances and his ERA (still good) has almost doubled.

I would've said Geary even before the last two nights. For one, Geary has pitched in more tough situations. Second, he's pitched more innings and given up only 1 HR along with a much better K/BB ratio. Geary has also given up far less hits per inning.

Regardless, Byrdak has been impressive considering who he is.

Pretty much a "who can suck more" series.

Apparently its Houston. After last night, it's going to take a few wins in a row to cheer me up. That 9th inning collapse made this game seem like nothing.

    :(
