And I thought my biggest problem would be people trying to be funny and offer PBP because I didn't give the usual disclaimer. Instead I get 2 pages of non-game related, D&D quality bull****. Take it somewhere else; preferably Orange Whoopass or Astros Daily or some other random MLB board.

Edit: this thread will be re-opened closer to game time.

Lets hope Wandy gets it done today. I would hate to be swept by the Pirates at home for the second time this year.

Come on, Castor, I can't believe you stopped one of the best flame wars ever! It sure is a lot more entertaining than watching the Astros right now...

What a fitting day if the Astros were to win 5 to 4...course he-who-shall-not-be-named needs to finish the deal.

    WTF was Bagwell wearing today?

Reminds me when Eric Crouch showed up at the Heisman Trophy selection show in a shiny shirt and jeans.

Freakin Wiggs. Very fitting that he gets revenge against his old team. ;)

I'm glad we could finally win a game for once, especially on Baggy's day. I'm really liking McLemore. I hope he's here to stay. Wandy, on the other hand, is falling apart again. Nice job by Lidge to not give up a HR to Nady this time. :D

I've liked McLemore out of the gate, ever since they brought him up for that one game. I feel confident with him out there. But then you lost me.

Wandy falling apart??? He gave up 4 runs against a VERY hot Pirates lineup. He got in trouble in 2 innings. One worse than the other. But I didn't see him fall apart. What I saw was him and Ausmus work out of those two innings, keeping the game close.

We won the game because he didn't fall apart when he got in trouble.

Lately, Wandy has fallen apart compared to his to his 1+ home ERA he used to have. He gave up 7 runs in 5.1 innings last time. He's still horrible on the road. He might have worked out of some trouble yesterday, but the point is he gave up 4 runs in 5 innings, which is not a quality start. Other than the strikeouts, he wasn't that good. We won the game because Garner took him out and the offense was decent.

Your right... based on what he has done at home this year it wasn't a good game. But your seriously putting the bar that high!?!?!?!?!? How well did you think Wandy was going to pitch at home this year before the season started? With that mindset... giving up 4 runs in 5 innings is a good game. lol

You say he's falling apart... I say he's pitching like Wandy.

    speaking of jokes....
What they should do, which isn't at all likely but would be funny... During home stands have Wandy start and Woody in relief. On the road flip it. Basically they would start every other week.

    Magic Woody Wandy
    lol

You're right. I shouldn't have expected that Wandy would pitch well at home. Silly me. We all knew it wouldn't last. Woody, on the other hand, has been good lately. How long will that last?

I still think we should have an entirely different rotation for road games.

Purpura and Casserly should never be GMs in any league ever again.

Purpura will never live down the Jennings trade. Casserly will never live down passing on VY and Bush.

Seriously, this guy Purpura was the brains behind the organization when we were winning division titles? BWHAHAHAHA.
