I hope we win something. Those bucs are awefully tough against this year. (I hate saying that.)

    Go Patton!

Stros will win 2 of 3, I am more concerned about putting a dent into the Cards postseason plans next week

Oh yeah, going tonight should be fun with third row seat and tons of Stoli in my flask(s)

One of the best closers in the game today. No doubt about it.

The gutless wonders ride again on the road to absolute futility. Unbelievable!!! How many close games have we lost this year? So many chances and yet, not one astro when needed stepped up they were all doofusses tonite. Some more than others.

Memo to Drayton: Fire POOPURA! He has managed to screw up just about everything with this organization! He sucks! He sucks the big one, the little one, the inbetween one, the after dinner mint one and the between meal snack one!!! In other words, HE SUCKS!!!

Now that this season is officially history and this damn team has screwed themselves so far into a pickle that even they can't fix it, what to do next?

Let's see what the young guns can do and see how they fare under the lights in the majors. Based upon performance decide in off season will they work in the framework of our system. That also means put (mostly) "no clutch hitting" Ausmus on the bench and bring up Towles and team him with Munson. That new tandem sure can't be near as pathetic as "no hit wonder" Bradley!

Do not give Jennings another contract. Go get either Peavy, Willis (open the damn pocketbook, Drayton!), Sabbathia to team up with Roy with Backe, Woody and then for the fifth ... (Albers, Patton ...?). Then, we will have a shot at contending with better pitching and much fewer holes in our lineup card.

As for 2007, R.I.P. ASS-stros! Thanks Tim for nothing and give BIGGIO a wonderful final season to remember! You S.O.B.!!!

Lidge was mostly at fault for blowing the game, but I didn't see how good/bad the pitch was since I was in the stands, so I don't know if it was horrible pitching or excellent hitting that led to Nady's homer.

What I do know is that we left the bases loaded 3 times. On more than one occasion, a simple sac fly would've scored the winning run. As much as I hate to do it, I have to place blame on Biggio as well. If he had not made the error in the 1st, we would've been winning 3-1 going into the 9th.

Enough ranting. Albers was awesome. I'm looking forward to him being part of the rotation next year.

Lidge's performance since you last shot your mouth off: 5.1 IP, 2 hits, 1 run, 7 strikeouts, 0 walks, 5 saves in six appearances. What a miserable bum. Get this cancer off this team immediately. He's of no help to anyone.

Yeah Lidge did give up a gopher ball but, the pitch look low in the strike zone just happened F-N Nady hit the sweet spot I guess. I understand your other justifications but, dammit sometimes someone has to step it the F up. Even Berkman 0 for 6! The Bucs aren't a playoff team and yet, I think Superman would have an easier time bathed in kryptonite saving Metropolis from impending doom than the disasstros would be with beating the Buckos. Too many people in this lineup just choking away opportunity after opportunity. No one seemed to be able to get the hit when counted the most. Brad Ausmus needs to be benched and bring up Towles and see what potential we have with him and Munson. Put Bradley on the bench PERMANENTLY!!!

    lidge generally looks great now.

the results aren't absolutely perfect but i don't see how anyone watching him thinks he sucks.

lst nite was terible. Once the game went into extras I knew the only way the Astros would win is if they got a lucky homerun. They left the bases loaded with no outs three times and didn score a run.

I'm glad I decided to pass on this last game. Just another heartbreaking loss in a heartbreaking season. Enough already. How much more do we have to suffer?

It's a combo of things. The lidge haters will never be satisfied with anything lidge does this season (gene the pig, miniming, and others). Couple that with the fact that we're losing games to the ****ing nationals and pirates and you have a recipe ripe with frustration.
