He's had some hard hits all night that just went right to a fielder's glove.

 

Duke pitched an ok game, too many LOB and Lidge just F U C K I N G sucks and so does Qualls.

 

Crap. Jason Bay sucks.

 

What a wonderful way to start the season.

 

This is gonna be a looong season.

Yay for Chad Qualls. He gives up HR #1 of 2007, and so it begins!

Well both Lidge and Qualls were the "anti-clutch" last season, and it looks like that hasn't changed this year.

What a deflating opening game.

 

Sad thing about the above statement, is that I wrote that when ROY gave up the HR. I thought it was Chad. Well, I was right though. He was going to give up a HR.

 

This is not going to be more than a .500 team, and I simply can't care aboput them until the Rockets are done with the Western Conference Finals or NBA Finals.

Yeah, I just re-pasted what I had wrote about LIdge.

 

Purpura was right the bullpen was a strength this year.

Maybe the people who predicted the Stros to struggle this year were right.

You can not lose the games that Oswalt goes 7+ innings and gives up 1 run.

And so much for our new offense.

what pitching? we've known about this problem since last season.... and people were worried about the #4 and 5 spots. hah

 

Now we have to count on Burke and Au...Loretta.

 

It's just one game, but after waiting so long for this it's driving me nuts!

 

We could use another bat on our lineup, like... Carlos Lee's. Rough first game for him. Maybe just trying too hard to please the crowd?

 

Yeah so much emphasis is put on the first game of the season when it's just one game. However, games like this one are the reason we finished 1.5 out last year. I feel like we saw this exact same game like 15 times last season.
